Savannah and on ...

Mercer House, the scene of the murder in "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil." Pinky.  A very sweet cat I met in Savannah.  His people were kind enough to introduce us.

Forsyth Park at the south end of Savannah.  I took a lovely walk here after lunch. There are so many trees in Savannah that it makes taking photos of the buildings rather difficult.
I just sort of happened onto Boone Hall Plantation.  I can see why it is the "most photographed" plantation house in the country.

It's GORGEOUS!

The back side is almost as beautiful as the front.
And the grounds and gardens aren't bad either.

Loved this place!

These are the original cabins for the house slaves.
Charleston is a city with lots of churches. This frog was apparently waiting for a bus.

The casements at Fort Sumter. One of the "parrot guns" mounted at Fort Sumter after the Civil War at the time of the Spanish American War.

Charleston is known for its sweet grass baskets.  They are hand made and very expensive. The houses along the Battery are spectacular.

This one was a Queen Anne ...

and this one was sort of a cross between Federalist and Greek Revival.
