Ron Moulton, Das Drachenbuch, 1978, 195 pages, ISBN 3-473-42552-4 (german translation of "Kites")

A treasure trove of kite related information: history, principles of flight, patents, plenty of photos and illustrations of all kinds of kites. Highly recommended for all kiting enthusiasts; the technical aspects are, of course, a little dated (first published 1978) but interesting nevertheless. It contains descriptions of many unusual or historical kites, e.g. Tom Van Sants' "White Plane" kite, which I haven't seen in any other book. Recommended.
