Work in Progress

Here's an overview of things I'm currently working on and things I would like to do in future. BTW, if you've already completed a similar project, I'd very much like to hear about it.

Chinese Centipede
I'm still thinking about this; my first unfinished attempt has been languishing in the garage for ages now. I think the 15" disks are too big and I need to restart with a more modest size.
This isn't very innovative but it looks like an absolutely stunning kite. Here's an example of the sort of thing I'm aiming for. I intend to start small, maybe with 9 disks, and extend this by multiples of 9. The plan I am using is from the book "Drachen kombinieren und verketten". I am using bamboo and Tyvek.
Here are a couple of interesting facts regarding chinese kites in general and centipedes in particular.

I was hoping to create a virtual kite-builders' workshop, enlisting the help of other kiters on the internet. Here is the introductory page detailing my idea.
Unfortunately, there was no feedback from the net. Also, with the advent of search machines for the WWW and USENET, it has lost some its appeal. I still believe it would be a "very nice thing to have", but other projects are taking precedence.
