A Level Physics DYNAMICS The Newton.

DEFINITION

The Newton is the unit of force, defined by newtons 2nd law of motion, as that which when applied to a body of mass 1 kg gives it an acceleration of 1 m s-2. Thus the dimensions of the newton are [M]1 [L]1 [T]-2 and the Newton is an equivelent of kg m s-2
