A Level Physics FIELDS OF FORCE Electrostatic and gravitational fields as examples of fields of force.

FIELDS

One mass is able to 'act' through empty space on other masses around it, and one electric charge is similarly able 'act' on another. The concept of force is invented to deal with this problem. A field of force is the mechanism by which objects that are not necessarily in contact, extert forces on each other.
