U.M.R : The uk.music.rave usenet group, started about a year ago, it has grown exponentially since, in the beginning there was a handful of posters. There were a few transmission problems but one by one the university news admins where persuaded to add it to their servers. If you can`t get it and your at ac.uk start shouting at your news admin, if your out of the country and don`t get uk.* usenet, try reading it from pubnews.demon.co.uk. It became one of the friendliest spots on the net, where chat about just about anything goes. The banana comes rom a discussion about the theraputic effecy eating them has after a night dancing, there were adopted (with minimal succsess) as a means of locating each other at Tribal Gathering 95 and are now appearing on the soon to be famous u.m.r. T shirt.
