A Level Physics LIGHT WAVESPolarisation.

POLARISATION
The requirement of a transverse wave is that its direction of oscilliation is perpendicular to that of its motion. This means that its actually plane of oscillation is not fixed. A polarizing lense fixes the plane of oscillation for light waves passing through it. for example the vertical component of a waves oscillations maybe let through but horizontal ones stopped. This would mean a wave oscillating horizontally would be completely stopped.
