About Taco

a) Some words about me:

Real name is Wolfgang Thoma, nickname TACO just comes from our two kids Talita and Cosmas. (Having an url or e-mail adress like wolfgang.thoma@provider.x sounds a little bit boring, I just found Taco@pandora.be nice and easy). Dirty old man, (from 1947 !), born German, but living from 1973 to 1979* and again since 1983 in Belgium in Willebroek and married since 1975 with Wally, who's hobby is lace. I'm working as a R&D manager for industrial products in one of the better printing ink companies.
*Between summer '79 and spring '83 we lived in Brazil and I found a fantastic site on the net about this country. You must have a look on this site (but only after you're finished with mine, promised ?)

b) Why this page ?

Answer: As a challenge ! Everyone who was not yet born when the first XT's appeared in the shops and never heard about DOS can work with Windows 98 and everybody can design a good looking and slow loading page with wizards like Claris Homepage, Coffiecup or all the Micro$oft stuff. Only problem: Just now when I'm a little bit familar with HTML 3.2, they came out with HTML 4 and a lot of extensions where nobody was waiting for with the exception of the makers of the above mentioned programs and some makers of browsers with the excuse that you ought to work with the latest version of their browser in the hope that it's incompatible with all other browsers - think of the war between Netscape and Micro$oft. I've seen a page that is perfect in Navigator 4 and even in MSIE, but does't work in Navigator 3 !
