Woodsmen take now your well earn-ed rest
in weald quiet now where right work was done.
Flowers now flourish by saplings in sunlight.
The old Tree is fragrant with blossoms you bought.
A few of you fell to repair and make right
and lie in the litter with baronial blood.

Master shire masons now take up your tools.
A Leaning Tower looms high over and heavy.
That tottering Tower now threatens to fall
crushing the commons within and without.
Cunning shire craftsmen now come to their aid.
Shore up the sides with shovel and spade.
Hit loose stones square with hammer and sledge.
Pull away rubble with pickaxe and pole-hook.
Point work is needed where mortar is missing.
Cutting is called for where new stones are needed.

The Dogs are asleep, so lets let them lay.
Go to the Gate that guards home no more and
bring up the blacksmiths with hammers and brawn
to pull down the Portcullis and ply their repairs.
Ascend now the stairs and set straight and bright
Brazier and Beacon so light may lead all.
Sweep clear the streets from rampart to wall,
Avenue to alley, boulevard to back street.
Remove the refuse, the wreckage and ruin.
Shires clean the city and set right the Tower,
Reclaim our cultures for Kingdom and Crown.
