On June 24th, 2006 that was a ceremony that two people, Thomas Punton, and Courtney Evans would hold.
But I'm getting ahead of myself here...
Lets back up the Delorian a bit and tell of how this all came to be.
The two of them, like many couples nowadays meet each other online, in all due surprise, they didn't really get to know each other till late 2000. Only seeing each other in passing on WBS in Star Trek: Nexus Bar, Courtney and Thomas would later on get to know each other on Webbfx in the Star Trek room as T'Lana and Simbaka Rafikin.
Thomas had just moved to Fargo after graduating from Valley City State and getting a job at a travel call center and Courtney was getting near the end of her college days as well in Georgia. With a little help Thomas was able to get Simbaka Rafikin and his Pride Landian Empire off the ground and gain some popularity in his spare time. Courtney who was playing as T'Lana saw some harsh politics in the Federation faction and saw that Pride Landia was getting stronger by the day.
Courtney figured it was time to join the flock so then by late 2001, she created Kefira Kione and got to get to know Simbaka and the man behind the king at the same time. By this time though, she was engaged to a man name Adam, who she knew for a good seven years. So although they had such great fun together, neither side had the guts to admit their true feelings.
During this time of the storyline, Simbaka was married to the Eugenic Lee Sona, but like some people they got tired of it and the mun behind Lee Sona killed off her character leaving Simbaka a widow.
The Goddesses and their fates brought the right person to take the place. Kefira grabbed Simbaka's heart and never let go afterwards, but still nothing much happened out of character. Courtney would end up marrying Adam in June of 2002, and Thomas would be dating a woman named Andrea Marie Henkel Larson, who would later on break his heart by faking her death and running off with $4,250 of his own hard earned cash.
Their noncommunication was through late 2003 through most of 2004. At this point, Courtney's now married husband Adam, complained that she was spending too much time online with her friends and not much to him. Much was to say, she dissapeared, only leaving Thomas and everyone online figuring she was busy with school and her family. Little did everyone know though, was that Adam was spending more of his time playing D&D with his friends and barely ever spent any time with her.
By late September 2004, Courtney figured she had enough and got back into Ethereal Realms to Star Trek Legacy hoping to find a certain King was still at the throne and so he was!
Courtney dropped a bombshell to Thomas that she had felt a great love for him and that Adam was only thinking about himself and his lust (such lusts I can't even say on this website!). Thomas felt the same way of course obviously not wanting to say since she was married.
It was planned then to meet in person after finding so many things they had in common and by November 14, 2004 after finding a great flight/car rental deal, Courtney and Thomas met and had a great weekend together. From dining out to going to see the movie The Incredibles, the two were like two puzzle pieces that matched! Sadily that Monday, Courtney had to go back with a tear in her eye and Thomas, not much wanting to go back to work, their separate ways was not going to be long.
The second Courtney got back to Georgia, she began to get ready to move to Fargo and told Adam that he was not the greatest in her life. Their greatest challenge was their daughter, Aislyn of who would take care of her. For now, she would stay with Adam in an environment she would feel comfortable.
Ironically, on December 14th, one month after they first met, Courtney had moved up to Fargo with what she could bring and moved into a two bedroom apartment with Thomas. The two grew from there, from a couple job changes to a move to an apartment that had a pool, the two of them endured very much.
This is what we come to this day on June 24th, 2006 as they were wed by Tess from the Nature's Sanctuary. In Valley City, North Dakota, a town that Thomas grew up half of his life in, they held the Wiccan Handfasting amongst their friends and family and become husband and wife. It was a glorious place of the Valley City State Medicine Wheel, overlooking the town.
So now Thomas and Courtney Punton will now start a new adventure, not done in some role play chat room, but in real life.
