Religion in the Sanandaj
Most people in Iran are moslem and religion of Islam has two main branches; Sheaa and Sonni and most people of the Sanandaj belive to Sonni religion. In the past before Islam, The Kurdish had another religion it is called Zartoshti. Zartosht was a Kurdish and he was one of the prophets, in that time Kurds were in power in Maad Imperial so the Zartoshti had a good progress and all of the Iranian Imperial came under cover the Zartoshti. Zartoshtian are beliving The God and call him Ahoora-Mazda. When Arab Moslems attaked Iran and had victory, the religion of the most of Iranian And Kurdish also changed to Islam. After few hundreds years the Iranian Nationalist made a religion inside the Islam against Arabic Islam and called it Sheaa (clean) but Kurdish people didn't except this new religion and they are Sonni yet. Republic Islamic which is a Sheaa Rejeam wants to change the Kurdish relgion to Sheaa, but it wasn't succeful till know. So they migrated many Sheaas from other cities to Sanandaj and employed them in many jobs like Armi and Police. After the revolation Commonists Parties had the ateist propaganda and many of the young people belived the Commonism. Other than Islam few Jewish families live in Sanandaj since very far and they live with Kurds in peace and they have no problems with Kurds or Moslems. They have their own business and own houses and own shops and they can speak Kurdish very well.
