Winter is fast approaching
Snow will soon be on the ground
Lots of people get stuck in
Lots of problems to be found
But get prepared, and here's some tips
When you visit your local store
Stick an extra tin in your bag
Don't worry that one will turn into more.
Next time make it a bag of sugar
And next a small box of tea
Store them up for that snowy day
They'll come in useful, you'll see.
Make sure your neighbours know
If you're on your own that day
And make sure you look after them
In the same neighbourly way.
Plenty of blankets are needed
Drink plenty of hot drinks
and get some hot meals inside you.
Start now before problems arise
You'll be better off in the long run
Wear a few layers of clothing
Dressing up is a lot of fun!
Wear a hat, and even a scarf
And a pair of big woolly sock
You'll be nice and warm, and cosy too
And your feet won't be like ice blocks.
So take these tips and add some more
And one more message from me:
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year
May your next year be trouble free.
Be Prepared
