Alas! to one, one must tie,
Human moral law,
To break this code, there's plenty try,
They face the Justice door,
Nature as a part to play,
We all must curb desires,
Wedlock vows we must obey,
Man's law, this requires,
Love and law, they often clash,
And love is oft the winner,
The laws, no sentiment, alas!
The lover is the sinner,
Small wonder man is shy to wed,
If churched, he may not win,
When virile partner shares our bed,
The lust out-weighs the sin,
The milk of wedlock's not a dream,
How oft the milk turns sour,
To live in sin, we take the cream,
And law, it has no power.Living in Sin
