The Bentilean No. 6A
Christmas 92
Welcome.......
.....to this, the revised edition of "The Bentilean" Christmas issue.
I was so loathe in the first edition of this Christmas issue to have to muddy my digits on an humble typewriter for the final few pages (and still end up with an empty one!) that when I was told I could finally join my desk top publishing class, I grabbed the chance with both hands and vowed to re-set them there sad, typewritten pages to be in keeping with the rest of the mag. (Except the letter. Being a letter, typewritten seemed appropriate.)
And add four new pages to boot!
The bad news though is now there is a Mortimer & Mears comedy script -- and I've had time to do a couple more almost-as-awful drawings.
Thanks still go to Barbara Jones, chair of the Aylesbury Road Residents' Organisation, for the four page pullout -- and apologies for still not having had the time to re-typeset it and use all the material I'd been given. And once again a big fat welcome to new writers, Kimberley Jamieson (age 8), Linda Geaney, Julie Turner, Josephine Griffin, and Charlie Barker, and huge yuletide greetings to the rest.
And this time I'm even willing to guess when the next issue will be: Spring 1993's the time to watch.
Merry Christmas to one and all,
John Steele -- The Bent Ed
