Reply to Kevin Strider

Following Kevin Strider's article questioning the existence of God and the Purpose of Life, we received this reply from Bent' contributor, poetess and born again Christian, Sharon Elton which we happily include here under our Right to Reply policy....

Man cannot do anything without God! Man is not perfect and was born with original sin! Man will always fail at sometime, but God never fails. There is no man perfect, no not one. God made man in his own image to be His companion. That is what we are here for, to be companions for God! But man fell and cannot therefore be companion to God anymore, because of the entry of sin into the world. But God so loved the world that he gave His only son. His son was born of a virgin, placed in Mary's womb by the almighty God's power, thus making Jesus the only man to walk the earth pure and sinless! That's why He could die for us as a sacrifice for our sins, because the sacrifices of the Bible had to be pure and spotless, and free from blemish.

When Jesus died He took on the sins of the world. He rose again on the third day to give us a new life on Earth and eternal life in Heaven! If we now accept Jesus as our saviour, and admit our sin and try to turn from it, and become a born again Christian, we will be able to have companionship with God again. That is what life is all about!
