Love

I played a game of cards with God
the day that I was born
I never won a single game
he cheated, I could have sworn.
Then he dealt me a queen
and my heart began to sing
I though I had a chance in life
then He beat me with a king.
Then oneday, 8 months ago,
He blessed me with His grace
That was the day I met you
and I knew I had an ace.

Untitled Love Poem

This sadness I am feeling
Each day that I'm away
The crimes I have commited
The time I have to pay
I sit and wonder why it is
I do these foolish things
And what pleasures do I get
In the lonely days it brings

Someone should understand
That what I need is you
A place to settle down in
And warmth and comfort too
People stop and stare at me
And shake their heads in vain
They say "She's a bad one,
"Don't ever play her game."
