The Bentilean

Summer 92

Welcome.....

.......to this, the summer '92 issue of "The Bentilean" community magazine (and our second birthday!).

This isse there's the usual mix of poetry, community news and information, articles, short stories, humour -- and two new writers! (Including one aged 10).

Meanwhile I'd like to thank the Leisure & Recreation Dept, Hanley Park for the professional cover (if I've given them enough time to do it!), and allowing me to use their photocopying facilities; and a big thank you too to Stoke-on-Trent College's Open Learning Resource Centre, for allowing me to typeset the may there.

And, of course, the usual million cuddly thank yous to the writers, without whom I'd have considerably less work to do (can't produce a mag without writers).

And lastly, keep a sharp eye out for "The Bentilean Micro-mag" planned for this Christmas. Whilst I still may not be able to rival their circulation, it'll be the same physical size of rival mag, "The Bentilee Bulletin" -- and will hopefully show them how a mag their size should look.

Issue 5 had my favourite cover design (done by S-O-T City Council's Leisure & Recreation Dept in Hanley Park), but the proposed 'Micro-mag' never saw the light of day.
