I'm still researching this, but I have seen one of these systems (finally) and will comment when I've seen it in action...
The Channel F
Having only seen this console in its box, and not in action, its hard to say anything meaningful. It looked fairly unremarkable; a standard console and controller package much like a Coleco or Inty. The carts are large, bright yellow and similar to 8 track tapes in appearance. I found my first Channel F cart hidden among some cassette tapes and cds. They didn't even know it was a game cart, even though it says so on the box.
