Lemonheads

Suzanne Dando's mechanical half brother in Scotch frenzy.

The Lemonheads are an American band atopped by Evan Dando, pretty boy extrodinaire (he has a big body and a strong jaw and used to have long hair but that went out the window, he always seems vaguely sad). They're sort of pseudo-pop/indie but good, probably what I think of when enfuriating music journalists use the insufferable phrase ‘college band'.
I seem to have this idea that Dando was knocking about with Juliana Hatfield who was an angel in my so called life and sang that one about ‘I hate my sister'. She's a bit of a stunner, Flower used to have a picture of her on his wall, hmmmmm. Anyway, you know the lemonheads, course you do, they did Mrs Robinson (doo do do-do do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-doo) the Simon and Uncle Funkel classic from the graduate and I'm pretty sure it was a number one for two or three weeks. What else, 'I know a place where I can go, when I'm alone, into your arms oh-wo into your arms, I can go', Alison's starting to happen (Alison's gettin' her tit pierced etc), ‘It's either or I'm hoping for a simple way to say, It's a shame about Ray', ‘Dawn can't decide if there should be more of the porch she can't stand being inside'.
They have this sort of sound that belongs at them wild summer nights barbeques out by Pitsford reservoir (or the dam at otter creek). Yeah definitely summer sounds, go and buy a convertable straight ways. Dando got all messed up on drugs as is fashionable in the music business, don't know if he's all straight now but there was a new album out last year I think called ‘boat, cheese, cormorant' or something, I haven't got it but I intend to get it because the Lemonheads are playing Bristol and sheffield soon and I fancied going to see them.
I found Petrol Side Salad at the open market at Milton Keynes one year round about christmas I think when I went to the worse interview ever. It's a live album with lot's of good bits on it including Luka (my name is luka) the old Suzanne Vega song which ain't bad.
In summary, best at summer or autumn (fall for the yankees) and you must be compelled to sing along and dance or you have psycho problems. Viva lemonia.

I've put the titles as they appear on the inlay but watch out because most of them are wrong as you'll probably notice. It's rare because it's a bootleg but it's a good quality recording and worth while if you see it.

This seems to be some kind of lemonheads badge selling gaff, Pin being some foul Americanism for badge, mind you we say broach and that's almost as bad, it's a crock of shite but there's some links to lemonheads infomatic hoards, probably better than being here anyways.

Make no mistake Mr Horne, this is some kind of ‘praise the candy god' type page that wolf whistles at some sweet called lemonheads or something, I found it all quite alluring really but if you're after pictures of Evan Dando flicking the V's then this ain't the place (lovely shade of blue though).

I am no fan of the Hem Ahems, take me home to the ‘where do you go my lovely' page
