Disturbing Mary
Disturbing Mary

Mary was disturbed by the story that
she had just read. In the story, a man was
walking in a park, and his head fell off.
Well to be more accurate, a big hairy monster chopped
the man's head off with a scythe. This wasn't
what disturbed her. Next the head rolled
down a hill and into a lake, where a fisherman
snagged it on his lure. The fisherman
was disturbed and showed this by screaming
loudly. The screams happened to attract the
attention of the big, hairy, monster with the
scythe. The fisherman quickly lost his head too.

This wasn't what disturbed Mary either.
A friend of the fisherman happened to witness
the decapitation and he was disturbed by it.
So disturbed that he started running away
from the big, hairy monster with the scythe.
The monster noticed this, and being the type
of monster he was, started chasing this man, too.
This man had just graduated from college, and
was now going to pursue a career in track, so he
actually managed to get away. Of course, now
the monster was standing in the middle of town.
This disturbed many of the townsfolk,
and general panic ensued. To make a
long, gruesome story short, and not so
gruesome, the local police managed to
terminate the big, hairy monster with the
scythe, but not before several more heads
were chopped off, including the mayor's
and half the police department (two people).
This wasn't what disturbed Mary either.
What disturbed Mary was that none of this
stuff disturbed her.
(Irony?)
