Friends

Friends are people who come in any shape or size,
But what many people don't realize,
Is that friends are good for the psyche,
Yes even that annoying guy named 'Mikey'.
Friends are big and say a lot,
Or small and quiet a lot.
Friends are friends no matter what,
Even when they're stuck in a rut.
Friends will help when they can,
Friends won't throw you in the garbage can.
Friends may come and friends may go,
And the only way you'll ever know,
Who the real ones are or are not,
Is to spend time with them a lot.
Real friendship never dies,
However dormant it may lie.
Friends change that's a given,          
But always will they be forgiven.
One thing I have learned that is true:
Friends are the best thing to happen to you.
