Westin Hotel dining theme contest
Several years ago, the Westin Hotel corporation selected the University of Washington to be the source of the imagery used in their dining promotions worldwide. Several times annually, Westin chooses a theme for their hotels around the world, presents the idea to our department, and we in turn work on creating the visual materials that will accompany that theme.
This poster was my work for the theme of Smart Dining in 1995, a theme which emphasized healthy choices and moderation in dining. I chose to portray a pair of glasses alongside a set of dining utensils, indicating that we must use intelligence when dining.
