THE HISTORY OF RIAL

Rial is a little known planet at the galaxy border. Few who travel there ever return. Not because they CAN'T but because they have no desire to! It is a beautiful and peace filled planet of pure, unconditional love and life energy! At least----NOW----it is!
Rial was a lot like Earth a few decades back! There was fighting amongst the races. There was hate and greed abundant! Evil forces entered the hearts and minds of a great number of the population! The Dark Lord, Orinuk, raised his evil head and spat his poisonous venom across the land. All would have been lost if not for the goddess, Morcael's, light crystals and the bravery and purity in the hearts of a select few, chosen by said crystals, to defeat the beast!
Kalin McMarsis (an exiled, human barbarian), Beranthalon Boulderoller (an outcast, Buritha Dwarf from the Daalir Mountains), Jamar Greycoat (a Silver-elf from Grekken Cliff and son to Lord Urvan Greycoat) and Tonieka Windsong (Barbarian princess and Kalin's true love) were chosen by the Crystals to defeat the Dark Lord! With the help of a mage, Zoroth, and the Dark Stone of Lestinax, along with several friends (Weidalor Thistlehorn, a Szingsi---Arlon Skyfire, a Silver-elf---and Phaiz, a Dragloch) the crystals were brought together with the Dark Stone to create the ultimate magic! A magic with it's roots planted deeply in the soil of purity, goodness and love!
The actual battle was fought in the Desert of Twan and though the sun, Rastar, never showed it's radiant face that day and they struggled for a full day (that's the equivalent of thirty-eight hours in your part of the galaxy!) they sent Orinuk back to Haeti, from whence he came! With the evil banished, the good people of Rial sent out their unconditional love to all on the planet and created peace at last!

MORCAEL'S LIGHT CRYSTALS
The crystal beginings.

This is the legend of King Eloch IV's insatiable desire for power and how Morcael's light crystals came to be.

The seir-giants were a strong and noble race, ruling the land of Tarstonia with a firm but gentle hand. For centuries, these peaceful beings tended the land and cared for the tai-dragons of Caruukis. In return for their care the tai-dragons wove a spell over Tarstonia to keep it lush and green, and in complete harmonic balance.
Shortly after Eloch IV became king, he began to recruit an army of the strongest seir-giants, filling their heads with thoughts of riches beyond compare. He told them of places to be conquered on the other side of the Caruukis mountains where these riches could be found. Yet still he could not insight the bloodlust in these men that he desired.
The king’s blood was tainted with an evil never before heard of in a seir-giant. It pushed him beyond reason and sent him into terrible fits of rage. There seemed to be nothing he could do to insight violence within his people.
Some years latter, an evil wizard (known only as Rath) heard the king raging against his plight and made himself visible to Eloch. He told the king he could help him begin a new strain of seir-giant by mixing his bloodline with that of the tai-dragon’s. He gave Eloch a potion to drink that transformed him into a handsome male tai-dragon so he could fool one of the females into mating with him.
Eloch waited until the moon was in the right quarter then took the potion. Instantly he felt the dragon’s might course through his body. When the metamor-phosis was complete King Eloch raised his multicolored wings and with one powerful downward stroke he was airborne.
King Eloch IV had three sons and a daughter born of that union but the results were not as he had desired. None of his four offspring had his evil tendencies and in fact were even more pure then either the dragons or giants themselves. Growing furious, Eloch loaded the infant draglochs into a large cage he had mounted on wheels, took them into the Preiush Desert and left them there to die. Ca, the she-dragon Eloch had lain with, stayed in her cave refusing to eat and died of a broken heart.
Durkeish, a wayward seir-giant who had long ago escaped the clutches of the evil king, came upon the babes in the desert and managed to coax them back to his cave in the Beltar mountains near Lestinax. He christened each child with a special name and prayed to Morcael for their safety.
That night Morcael visited the babes while the old giant slept. Leaning over Phaiz she placed her hand on the infants temple chanting, "Phazon--light of the mind." As she drew her hand away, a blue quartz crystal appeared in her upturned palm and the babes sky blue scales and wings began to glow. To each of them she did a similar ritual. From Sorda, she extracted the milky quartz "Sordon--of the spirit" and from Bali, "Baline--of the body" a beautiful amethyst. Ta`il was last and the rose quartz she drew from him, after touching her hand to his breast, she called "TaLeith---light of the heart."
