Interview With A Vampire...Author!
This is an interview with World of Darkness author Geoffrey Fortier, one of the writers of the Mind’s Eye Theatre: 2nd Edition, live-action rules for Vampire: The Masquerade.
Vampire: The Masquerade
One of my favorite hobbies is my involvement with Atlanta Interactive Theatre (AIT), and Athens-By-Night (ABN), two live-action role-playing (LARP) games that take place in my area. AIT is played at the Atlanta Arts Exchange in the Grant Park/Zoo Atlanta area of Atlanta, approximately one Saturday out of every five or so, with weekly meetings at the Red Light Cafe on Tuesday nights. AIT’s alternate site is Sandy Creek High School, in Fairburn, GA. ABN takes place on the campus of the University of Georgia, with many of the players unofficially meeting and interacting at Red Light as well.
For me, LARPing combines the creative elements of acting and writing with the strategic elements of war-gaming and the social interaction of a tight-knit group of friends. Rewarding, challenging and inspiring, there is little that uplifts me more than spending time with this eclectic band of role-players. Below, I have a link to prose that was written by/for my characters at the various games. I hope that they can give you some small insight into my love of the game.
