Because The Aromatics Cause Kerosene To Smoke, Kerosene For Lighting And Heating Must Have A Low Aromatic-Hydrocarbon Content .

Kerosene Is Used Widely In The Aviation Industry As Fuel For Jet Engines. It Is Being Increasingly Used In Heating Stoves. For Safety, Kerosene For Heating Must Have A Minimum Flash Point (Temperature At Which It First Gives Off A Flash Of Flame) Of 120 Degree Fahrenheit (49 Degrees Celsius).
