INNER   SEAS

Centered in the life of me
And how I longed to just be free
I could only dream of who I was
Without needing excuses, reason or cause

When I sailed far I found a home
But I also found I was alone
And though adoring eyes met mine
I find myself in a certain bind

To be restless and want to leave
Flee to the oceans and the seas
To find forbidden sandy land
To travel back secure again

That would take me in my purity
And soil me with liberty
To finally know that I was free
And though adoring eyes met mine

Once again the bed would find
That I was restless and had to leave
Flee to the oceans and the seas
And back again to sandy land
Yet to another lovers hand

I find myself without my dream
Not knowing where I need to be
Forbidden passion it is not
And sorrow takes its hold a lot

So to the sea I'm back again
To find another sandy land
To play upon the ocean shore
Here I know I've been before

To this sandy land I see around
My hidden treasure has been found
Open this chest I shall not dare
For I can find it anywhere

Where dreams are not a mystery
And lovers know the heart of me
That things forbidden once are not
While standing on this sanded lot

A tide of waves come crashing in
The sea it calls me out again
