Thank you for being so giving
I accept your award with pride,
I also accept with humility
I can't push that aside.

For though the site is my creation
and I spend time on it most days
The poems and stories you see here
are what makes it's winning ways.

From happiness and pain we write
what's in our hearts and minds
we call ourselves creative writers
as we put down every line.

Some are great and will be published
if that's their dream, I pray it be
while others only write for love
and a need to express, you see.

I place the   'COYOTE'S HOWL AWARD'   here
under a soft unglaring light
so all may see your appreciation
for our writing and our website.

To Beautiful Coyote Bill

I notice you call yourself   'ugli'
and in your poem   'Anew'   moan about your age
this doesn't fit with what I saw and felt
while I was reading your poetry page!

for I saw nature's glorious beauty
written with love upon your soul
a sensitive man that doesn't hold back
from giving to everyone he knows.

an ageless lover that is boundless
because of what he feels so deep
a man of beauty for all to witness
whose heart and spirit sometimes weep.

so, my friend, next time you look
in that mirror before your eyes
look deeper than flesh and bone
and see within a beautiful surprise!
