MY   HOUR

By:  MindShadows

My hour has finally come,
And my work here draws to an end.
Even though my life here stops,
It will really just begin.

Arrested and stripped, beaten and whipped.
Scorned and slapped and cursed,
They've fought against me as hard as they can,
They've done their very worst.

For the joy that is set before me,
I'll endure all the terrible shame.
Father please forgive them,
For you know they're not to blame.

This is what I have come for,
To wear this painful cross.
To give my life on Calvary's hill,
So that no one must be lost.

For the joy that is set before me,
I'll endure all the terrible shame.
Father please forgive them,
For you know they're not to blame.
