RISKALL

I am 36 year old mason who does specialty work in chimneys and restorations of old brick work. I own a small biz here in Washington state, in the town of Ellensburg.

Ellensburg is a fusion of academia and agriculture. Like all unlikely fusion's the relationship can be volatile, yet that same volatility can bring out interesting and fantastic individuals.

The country here borders on the high desert bumping into the cascade foothills and the Stuart Ranges. Depending on the view it can be very reminiscent of the Austrian Alps. I grew up in this country and have never lost my love for its majesty.

I left home at the age 16 and traveled over much of the US. I have worked as a oil rig hand in Wyoming and scouted for oil in Montana, Colorado, Wyoming, and North Dakota working seismograph. In California I swung a hammer and learned some of the places the fast lane can land you in.

I also worked in Alabama as a counselor for a Summer Camp dedicated to giving a summer vacation to people with physical, emotional, and mental challenges. While in Alabama, a minister (Baptist no less) decided that I was wasting my life and needed to attend college. With his help I went to school at the University of Southern Alabama. I attended a year there.

Through all my wanderings my heart strings stayed to the country I grew up in and have loved even more after finding it lacking very little in comparison to any other places I had seen. I had to go home. Thus I did, where I met, or should I say re-met, the woman that would actually marry me.

She had been a childhood sweet heart, The fact that we had not seen each other in 9+ years yet still felt attracted to one another and neither of us had married, seemed, well like fate. Equipped with that we ran off to Idaho and got married.

I've yet to have anything other than a research work and an essay printed anywhere. I can claim no cudos as a writer. Oh, I do have a pen & ink rendition of Chief Joseph in limited print, and am a member of the Western artist association. That does not qualify me as a writer in any way. I do however hope you will read my writing and that you will enjoy it.
