DO YOU REMEMBER

by:   Romper

Do you remember when you were little
When you used to sit, and talk, and giggle..
When the world was kind, fair and simple
And the only thing you killed was a harmless pimple.

The skies were blue, and the clouds were grey
And all the worries were far away..
The world would turn and who would know
For nothing bad would fall 'cept snow.

Laughters ample, jokes abundant
You laughed and jested till they were redundant;
The worries were shadows, the pain was far
And the room kept filling with ha ha ha....

Suddenly Life gave such a bolt!
And jerked you to this - we'll call a fault;
The hurt you felt, the pain you took
The world came down and all it shook.

Life transformed into a living hell
Where love and pain came all too well.
The giggles gone, the laughter snuffed
The tears rolled down - Gosh! Life was tough.

The hell, it came, the hell, it stayed
The hell it was that made you frayed.
But out of hell, you came a-flyin'
When you realised the Life that hell was killin'.

You braved the rain, you bore the pain
You culled the weak and stopped the vain.
You grew in size, you grew in strength
You walked through Life, you went the length.

The giggles go, the giggles went
The laughter stopped and Life seemed spent.
But now you know that thats untrue
For now you giggle and laugh Life through!

So do you remember when you were little
When you used to sit, and talk and giggle;
The Life you knew you'd give away
When really all it did was hide and stay.

Do you remember.....
