TAKE MY HAND

AND DANCE WITH ME

By: Bob Bearden aka Thon

Take my hand and dance with me,
the waltz is about to begin.
'cross the floor like shadows that dream
the music will never end.

It is the dance of life we perform,
with steps taught us long ago.
and we hold to each other tightly,
lonely victims of vertigo.

For dances always, always end,
whether we will or no,
And these few turns we share now,
may well be all we know.

The time we have together still,
we cannot guess or measure,
so hand in hand we step and turn,
our sharing is our treasure.

And other partners may wait in line,
for dances yet to be,
yet for this time we are as one,
Take my hand and dance with me.
