CORRESPONDANCE & THE ETERNAL NETWORK
Basic introduction
Correspondence art, also known as mail art, is a group of artists, designers and writers. They come from all walks of life and all over the world. They communicate with each other via the postal service, sending art, photos, project ideas and stuff. Mail art is open to anyone. For the price of a stamp, and some of your creative out put, you can join the network.
There is a lot of information about mail art around at various web pages, visit a few via our links page and find out more. Or try and get hold of the following books: Correspondence Art (Michael Crane, Contemporary Arts Press) or Eternal Network (Chuck Welsh, Calgary Press) or for those of you who speak Italian Arte Postal (Vittore Baroni, AAA Edizioni)
THE MAIL ART FAMILY
On the contrary to what many believe, there are three mail artists working from the Malvern Road address. A lot of mail artists have different pseudonyms, so it would be easy to think that we were only the one artist adopting different names. However this is not the case, the Mail Art Family is as such: Roger Radio (my step dad) Jilly Jargon (my mother) and me (Joe Decie)
