Good Friday Birth & rebirth, love enduring, finding them here in dying light. Distended sun hangs bleeding now & stains the evening sky. Birds of prey upon a final circling reeling, do not yield to onrushing night till the air comes alive with flowers & prayers. Clinging to poetry, clinging to fire, hammer a myth, piercing shell after shell. Incendiary eve of leering death, till the strange new constellation's turning (rotating thru the planetary night) shatter the darkness & unmask the dawn. Dennis M. Gaughan
