The Collier's Story
Kite's will,
it's fight against the string
puts me heel down
planted in the grass.
I see the air above
and I am not in it.
The kite has cheeks
and wind to bear on them.
Somewhere in my skull
a wind sliced whistle flies,
but I'm a tetherer,
meat, and a hand on string.
