A Man's Soul

A Man's Soul

A man's strength is not measured by his muscles,
But by the tear he shed's in tenderness.
A man's courage is not measured by his death,
But by his struggle through life.
A man's heart is not measured by his health,
But by the love he shares.

A good man shows and expresses his feelings,
He isn't ashamed of them.
A good man must be measured by his forgiving nature,
Not by the vengful thoughts of revenge for past wrongs.
A good man will have fears but will face them,
Not by acting invincible and dening his fear.

A man must be loved for who he is,
Not the way we wish him to be percieved.
Caring, Compassion, and Understanding are all things a man should have.
A man's wealth is measured by his spirit.

If we strive to be such men,
We may get there some day.
We might never reach this goal,
But to never try would be a crime.
We would never be able to better ourselves.
Along the journey if we touch just a soul and make a difference,
Then it would be all worth while.

That is the man I strive to be.
I may never become that man but at least the effort will be reward enough.
