Hello, Fellows,

I extend my warmest welcome to you all. As you may have already discovered that there is only one photo of me in these page. Yes, that's right. I value my personal security and protection against the vast, unkown, and dangerous online community highly...Oops I got a bit carried away...Anyway, I am Alfred, your host at Alfred's Playground.

I guess I'm supposed to tell you a bit about myself. I am "still" 18 (what a wonderful age to be!) I was born in Taipei, Taiwan. My family moved to New Zealand from Taiwan when I was 15. I attended two and a half years of high school here in New Zealand before I started my tertiary education at University of Canterbury, in Christchurch. Now I am a 1st professional year student, majoring in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.

EEE has not always been what I want to do with my life. To be honest, I am still uncertain about my future. Once, I promised myself that I will experience the lives of being an engineer, an architect, a writer, a businessman, a politician, and an artist. I guess that promise still holds. These may seem too much for a sane individual, but I believe that one has the potential to do whatever he wants to do.

Now, I am just an ordinary student, taking lots of courses and working hard to get good grades. The course I am taking this year are Electrotechnology, Circuits & Systems, Principles of Electronics, Engineering Design, Mechanics (Electrical), Computer Programming, Engineering Statistics, and Mathematics 2A.

My hobbies are similar to any other teenage boys: basketball, golf, computer, and piano. I guess that I really started playing basketball in New Zealand, not in Taiwan. I love golf. It's the kind of sport that I feel I will enjoy for the rest of my life. I play the piano, too. And it has always been an enjoyment in my free time.

Well, I'd better stop here before it gets too boring for you guys and myself. Feel free to email me if you wanna be my friend. I will add more to this as it comes to me.
