Margery Kempe and Julian of Norwich, which is a mystic? Are they both
or is only one of them? We may never know. Julian of Norwich was an anchoress, while
Margery Kempe went about her life trying to please the people that she met.
The thought of Mysticism is really good, but it seems that the pusuit of some perfect
physical ideal took the place of searching out what God wants, and so took the place of true
religion. Mysticism was just another phase that the people of the time seemed to be going
through, as the people continually sought some finite way to please God.
