  literally.
they cover
they hide the pain
  the anger
  the shame
  the worthlessness
they cover what people don't want to see
but if you look close
  i dare you to try
     but please don't
you will see the cracks
the cracks reveal what i cannot
look hard
  i need you to
    but cannot bear you to see
the ugly core that is
