Mistaking pain for love
   Destruction for affection
      And scars for intimacy
Giving the illusion of power
   Because they can destroy
      Where they can not build
Providing a mirror to smash
   An unbearable light to put out
      Believing that she matters
She gives her treasure
   Letting them eat until the darkness coiled within her
      Blossoms on its surface
