warning-----the fun of being people is that just when you think you have one of us figured out you are presented with the question of who it is that you understand and where on earth they went. don't worry if these pages make your brain spin. it probably just means that you have a hopeless case of singular personality disorder. the consequences of which are not incredibly severe. mostly it involves being referred to as a spud (SPD) and being asked questions by me how your brain works. (the confusion is mutual, you know. :)

now we can safely begin.

ahoy from the great land of rhode island!!! welcome to my little drivel space. it used to be that once you were here i could guarantee that i knew you. truth is though, with the miracles of modern web linking (rings, lines, etc.) i may not. that's cool too. i like to meet new people and catch up on old friends so tell me who and how the heck are you????

i'm workin on it...

ok, for those of you who don't know me, or don't know me well, or are checking to see what's on this page here's my stats:

• i am dissociative. that means that a few more people live in my body than live in most peoples. that does not mean that i am a freak of nature and will spit pea soup in your face if you come near me. (tomato soup maybe, but never pea. i hate peas. you will learn that about me)

• i am short. now that you are over your amusement at that fact, i am also the perfect unit of measure. towering at exactly five feet not so tall, i am far easier to use than the standard yard. submitted for your approval: a basketball hoop is 3.333333.... (ad nauseum) yards tall, however, it is exactly 2 embies tall. simplicity=superiority. Q.E.D. (call me simple to my face and i'll break your nose.)

• i'm supposedly a member of dartmouth college's class of 1998. (supposedly as in they asked me to go find myself for a while and i'm still in the books somewhere. ;) they haven't managed to totally get rid of me, however, as there are still a lot of cool people up there whom i love dearly. besides which, i'm too poor to vacation anywhere else. ;) having been a student there for approximately 2.6 trimesters i feel a certain nostalgia for the place and tend to remember dartmouth type activities rather fondly.

• oddly enough after dartmouth sent me out to "go find myself" i did. (kinda cool, eh?) i found God (and trust me, it took some doing ;) and i am now an active member of The Rhode Island Church of Christ. i love to babble on endlessly about the awesome things God has done for me, or the things that make me laugh. so go ahead, ask. ;) my favorite scripture is:

  Whatever is has already been,
  and what will be has been before;
  and God will call the past to account.
  Ecclesiastes 3: 15

  you can probably figure out why. i'll stop preachin here but i do have more to say about it.

• my kids have a page as well. we worked together on a list of things to do when you are feeling down and out. it doubles as a bunch of cool things to do / sites to visit when you leave here. ;)

if there's more to me than who i am,

then it would be what i like.
