You walk down the short tunnel and out into the bowl.
Southern Bowl(#396RJL$)
Towering above, the bowl wall rises in a curving three pointed arc as it shelters this southernmost point of Telgar Weyr's great cauldera. Sloping down to the north to a slight degree, the floor of the bowl channeled so that runoff might drain down to the lake beyond. There are several strategically placed evergreens that serve to baffle the biting mountain winds away from the southern entrance into the living Caverns. Scattered leaves have tumbled into corners of the bowl, and are stuck in cracks on the edge of the rock. They have bright colors: orange, gold, and brown. Northward, the center of the bowl spreads hugely, leading to the feeding pens, hatching grounds, weyrling barracks and the Telgar Weyr lake. The ground-level weyrs of the queenriders dot the mountain to the northwest. Use '+view queenriders' to view them. The murmur of voices and the clatter of pots and chairs drifts from the Living Cavern, where the evening meal is being served.
The sky is hidden by a grey blanket, and there is a chilly dampness to the air.

Central Bowl(#298RL$)
A stony field is the center of this great caldera, the size of which is unmatched at any other weyr--for the whole complement of all the wings at Telgar could rest comfortably within its towering cliffs. Shaped in a perfect oval, the rock walls seem perfect for keeping the usual chill winds stirring about. The ground is mostly made of pebbles and rocks, some hued the milky shades of old quartz, though there are patches where softer dirt and even trees sprout up from the ground. Southerly, the bowl opens onto the living caverns and the weyrleaders' quarters; the immense entrance to the hatching grounds lies to the northwest. Heading southwest will lead one back out into the rocky mountain ranges around Telgar's protective walls. Dragons may be seen, relaxing or fresh from feeding, to the north, as well as the soft lapping sounds of Telgar's lake touching the sandy shore. The weyrling barracks, always aflutter with activity, is to the direct west. The training grounds and the meadow are both covered with a blanket of pure white snow, though it is trodden down in dragon-wide paths where the dragons move.

Weyrling Barracks(#258RAHJ$)
This immense cavern is the home for weyrling pairs. A huge opening is the entrance, leading to the ground level bowl. The floor is not quite smooth, being gauged with numerous scratches and cracks, from the clumsy undergrown claws on equally clumsy dragonets. The indentations on the floor, made by millenial pressure of the growing dragons, are quite suggestive of their purpose. Most of them have furs in one corner of them , as the new riders sleep as near their lifemates as they can. A particular odour lingers in the air here, not quite pleasant.
A large, dragon-sized opening leads out of the barracks back into the Central Bowl.

Telgar Weyr Lake Shore
The vegetation thickens near the lake, becoming a meadow that runs along the edge of a narrow, sandy beach. The sands spill down into a crystal lake to the north, lapping against the crater walls to the north and west. A fence runs northwest-southeast, blocking off the lake from the feeding grounds. The grass is thick with autumn, and the long strands are beginning to seed. The few trees that stand on the banks of the lake are in their full splendor with leaves of red, gold, and brown. There are dark green water lilies on the lake, but they are no longer blossoming. In one corner of the meadow, Telgar's herb garden makes the air thick with the smell of mint and thyme, and the chives are in full bloom. Around it, a few fall flowers are blossoming. The red shades of sunset cast the meadow into deep, but peaceful shadows.

Telgar Weyr's Living Cavern(#750RJM$)
This huge cavern is sufficently roomy to hold a large portion of the Weyr's population without feeling cramped. There's always a bustle of activity here. Fragrant dishes are constantly in prepartion for mealtimes: currently for the evening meal. Drudges are always present, either cleaning under Pierron's watchful eye, or helping fetch and carry. A myriad of glowbaskets and many ever-lit hearths make the cavern warm and inviting despite its size. The scents of cooking meats, baking breads and pastries, and the pungent aroma of spices hang mouthwateringly in the air. It is little wonder that those seeking to relax nearly always find their way here to do it. A short tunnel jaunts northward out to the bowl and the merry sounds of cooking, chores, and laughter echo from the kitchen at the southeast end of the cavern near the easterly passage to the rest of the lower caverns. Within the lower caverns is an entrance to the infirmary weyr to care for injured dragons and riders.

Aurian sits down and leans back in her chair. She returns to her stitching of the straps.

Kvasith> R'val peers, "Why're you salutin' me?" He grins, "Going fine. Anyone else for klah in the cavern?"
Kvasith> T'saren nods absently to the other two riders, a frown on his lips yet again at something or other.
Kvasith> R'val glances at T'saren, "You ok?" He asks idly.
Kvasith> A'lex laughs, "I'm in a Salutin mood... Where's Kassima... Hey, T'saren, whatamatter?" He actually looks concerned now. Buzzkill...
Kvasith> T'saren blinks as R'val addresses him, pulling his mind back from wherever it is. "Oh. Um, sure, I'm fine. Just got a lot of things on my mind right now."
Kvasith> Above, From the Telgar Star Stones, Kl'loh, on brick-brown Yoxath, backwings to a clean landing and settles, replacing Pale green Ninnenth, bearing her rider Requa, on watchrider duty.

Kvasith> A'lex looks at Tas carefully, "All right. Need a hand with anything?"
Dragon> Kvasith senses that Solarith rumbles quietly, his mind-voice sounding almost apologetic as he says, << My rider would like to speak to yours, if she has time. >>
Kvasith> Solarith senses that Kvasith rumbles curiously, << She shall come out, she has been making new straps. >>
Aurian stands slowly, and tosses her half finished straps over her shoulder.

T'saren shakes his head quickly in answer to A'lex's question. "Uh, that won't be necessary, but thanks anyway." He glances at his lifemate for a long moment, eyes distant, before giving himself a shake and looking towards the living cavern. As Aurian comes out, the barest hint of a smile shows on Tas' lips. "G'eve, Aurian. Kvasith is looking well tonight."
Aurian glances over curiously at T'saren, a pile of leather held on one shoulder, "Oh Aye sir, he is quite well today." She grins towards the brown, "He is most everynight."
T'saren looks over at the brown in question, nodding to himself. "So I've noticed." He tone sounds speculative, and he studies the brown for a long moment before turning back to the weyrling half of the pair. "So, how have you been doing with your weyrling training? I heard Kerlyn say she thought your class did very well during 'Fall the other day."
Neliea walks here from the north.
Jayna walks here from the north.
A'lex excuses himself and slips into the Living Cavern.
A'lex walks beneath the lintel and disappears into the living cavern.
R'val walks beneath the lintel and disappears into the living cavern.
Aurian blows a stray curl out of her eyes, "Oh I believe we've done well, but I have to admit that I always think that there is something we could do better." She nods at that.
Neliea makes her way towards Aurian, glancing over her shoulder at Jayna and....an new patch. "Jayna! Congrats," she calls over her shoulder.
Jayna blinks, face flushed, and stops, seeing some of her fellow wyerlings. She grins at Neliea's call, out of breath, raising a hand in thanks, unwilling to interrupt.
Aurian shifts the straps to the other shoulder, she erfs a bit.
T'saren chuckles softly, giving a quick nod of his head in agreement before waving to Jayna and Neliea. "That always seems to be the way it goes. They say hindsight's always perfect." He shrugs a shoulder absently. "So, would any of you care to join me in the living cavern for a drink? My throat's as dry as Igen Weyr, and I'm sure we could use an excuse to congratulate Jayna correctly with a toast." He winks at the newest brownrider.
Jayna walks beneath the lintel and disappears into the living cavern.
Neliea grins and and belatedly salutes T'saren as she nods cheerfully, though she's not one to drink too much. Not like that's going to stop her from cheering Jayna though.
Aurian nods, "Oh aye sir, " she tries not to look slightly peeved at being called out of the living cavern only to head back in.
Neliea walks beneath the lintel and disappears into the living cavern.

Pierron tosses some dough into the air to make it as thin as a sheet to make baklava.
A knife flicks into Kassima's hand, and she leans over to point it at 'Lex's head. "Mayhaps," she suggests, clearly not serious, "I should carve it in your scalp t'help you remember?" The knife disappears, and the woman winks. "If'n I'd bought that one, I suspect you'd have a wherry's tooth t'sell me next. Heya, all and sundry." That last is directed towards those incoming.
Kvasith> T'saren notes Aurian's expression and inwardly chuckles, but manages to keep a straight face as he heads inside.
Kvasith> T'saren walks beneath the lintel and disappears into the living cavern.
T'saren walks in from the bowl.
Pierron mutters what might be a greeting to the Firestorm Wingleader.
Jayna enters the living cavern, suddenly shy. She grins. "Evening again, all," she says, happily.
Rowen sits near the hearth, quietly studying her stack of hides. It's managed to deplete itself by about 10 percent.
A'lex laughs, "No, no wherry's tooth. Just some Brownrider Brain..."
Aurian enters and returns to her seat, she pulls the straps back across her lap as she starts to work on them again.
A'lex grins at Jayna, "Evening!"
Neliea makes her way into the room, path towards the klah pot as she nods to the riders present. "Evening."
T'saren heads directly for the serving table, calling "Juice, klah, or something stronger?" over his shoulder to the two weyrlings and the new brownrider.
At the phrase 'brownrider brain' Jayna's eyebrows rise, but she doesn't say a word. Nope. She joins Neliea at the klah pot, smiling. "Heya," she grins broadly.
Aurian murmurs, "Cider please." She presses the needle through the dark hide carefully.
Kassima grins, folding her arms and looking down at the bronzerider. "*Skyfire* brownrider brain, anyway; all the brownriders who actually have 'em are in my Wing, as you very well know." She simply laughs at the glares this statement elicits from a few brownriders seated nearby.
Jayna blinks. "Oh, klah?..." she says hesitantly to T'saren. "Klah, for sure."
A'lex snorts, "You just have to turn every joke sour, don't you..." He sticks out his tongue and winks at the Greenrider.
Neliea was already on her way to the klah pot, so does she stop or keep going? Well she's there and so she just hands over the mugs to T'saren while fixing herself a similar mug of klah.
R'val winks with an amiable grin at Neliea, "Hey, you."
Kvasith> Kindre comes down from Herath and Prometh's ledge.
Kvasith> Kindre walks beneath the lintel and disappears into the living cavern.
Kindre walks in from the bowl.
Pierron gives a small bow to the Weyrwoman.
Jayna looks up from the klah pot and smiles at the weyrwoman. "Evening," she says cheerfully. Really cheerfully.
Aurian nods to the weyrwoman as she enters, "Evening Ma'am."
Kindre eyes Pierron suspiciously before moving past him to the hearth. Her typical evening meal...a glass of white wine and some bread with cheese...is gathered together before she moves to a seat. "Good evening," she calls cheerfully as she makes her way there. "How fares with everyone tonight?"
A'lex salutes happily as Kindre enters, "Evening ma'am."
T'saren grins at Aurian and nods at Jayna's request, taking the mugs from Neliea and beginning to pour the requested beverages. He fills the mugs quickly and turns, handing the klah to Jayna and using his now-freed hand to wave to Kindre. "G'eve, Weyrwoman," he calls as he delivers the cider to Aurian.
Neliea hands over the pot of klah to Jayna after filling it almost to the brim, while nodding to the Weyrwoman, "Evening, ma'am."
Aurian pauses in her sewing to take the mug of cider, "Thank you sir."
Jayna grins at T'saren. "Thank you, sir," she says politely. "Do you need a hand there?"
R'val slurpps his klah and nods politely to Kindre.
T'saren sits down across for Aurian, waving Neliea and Jayna over. He watches the brownriding weyrling stitch for a moment, seeming to be gathering his thoughts or something.
Kassima threatens 'Lex with a breadroll. "Watch it, sandwich-face, or I'll pelt you with wilted lettuce until you look as though you're wearing a green hairpiece! Evening, m'lady Weyrwoman Kindre ma'am," she greets Kin, saluting her with said roll before taking a large bite out of it.
A'lex fehs at Kassima, "Okay droopy butt."
Kvasith> K'tyn comes down from Herath and Prometh's ledge.
Jayna takes her klah and drops to a seat. She blows, and takes a long swallow, burning her mouth. Sucking air, she tries to retain some dignity. She looks a little dazed, in general.
Kvasith> K'tyn walks beneath the lintel and disappears into the living cavern.
K'tyn walks in from the bowl.
Aurian sips at her cider for a moment, she puts it down near her. She takes the needle up again, stitching in that odd fashion of hers, pausing now and then to check the tightness of the seams.
Neliea moves toward a chair, following T'saren and carefully watching her mug to be sure that she doesn't spill any liquid.
Jayna glances up and smiles. "Evening, sir," she says, lifting her mug. "How are you?"
A'lex stops himself mid-salute, "Good evening si--errr K'tyn."
A'lex mumbles to a bluerider at the Skyfire table who's laughing at him, "Hey, at least I didn't stand UP that time. Gimme a break."
Neliea looks up from her newly aquired seat and smiles, "Evening, sir."
Rowen's attention is on little but her hides."Good evening to you,"
Kindre begins to return to Kassima, "O esteemed, gifted, greenriding Wingleader Ma'am." Grinning nearly from ear to ear she tilts her head and her glass of wine towards her friend. "Ah, K'tyn, hello to you as well."
K'tyn wanders in, a box under his arm. "Ah, no 'sirs' to me. Just Kiat, if you please," he says with a grin, heading right for his weyrmate and presenting her with... well, a present. "And good evening to you all, especially for you, Kindre."
T'saren tears his gaze away from Aurian's sewing to wave to K'tyn, then turns back. He starts to say something, then pauses, frowning. Finally he starts again, taking a different approach to whatever he was going to say. "So, congrats to you, Jayna. I'm sure you'll serve Thunderbolt well." He raises his mug to her and takes a long drink of the redfruit juice inside.
Kassima reaches over and very calmly extricates two pickles from the unattended sandwich of someone nearby, which she just as calmly tries to lay atop A'lex's head. "My rear end," she informs him, "is nay droopy, though you'll have t'take m'word on it since you'll sure as shells never find out first hand. Kindreeeeeeee!" That soprano half-groan, half-shriek follows Kin's evil naming, of course. "You can't ma'am me when you rank me by a few hundred degrees! Isn't there a rule about that somewhere?"
Jayna flushes again, and continues grinning. Somebody should do something about that. "Oh, sir, Sioneth and I intend to, thank you so much!" She lifts her cup as though to clink it, and takes another precipitous drink of her hot klah.
A'lex tips his head back just in time to eat those pickles, being sure to slobber liberally on Kassima's fingers at the same time.
Aurian leans her head back as she stitches, she flickers her eyes about the cavern, then returns her attention to Kvasith's new straps.
K'tyn smiles faintly, taking a seat somewhere nearby. "Tis just...some flowers," He says to Kindre, shaking his head to the invitation for drink or food. "For scenting your things. The lord Holder's Lady at Telgar sent them your way."
"Thunderbolt," Kindre pipes up a moment before she leans a bit against the table. "Congratulations Jayna! I don't know about that Wingleader of yours..." She pauses to wink, "but I bet you'll be a fine addition to the Wing." She then laughs at Kassima's return quip. "You didn't let me ma'am you as a candidate or weyrling...I won't let you ma'am me now, dear friend. Anyhow...how fare the girls? Well I hope?" Turning to meet eyes with K'tyn, she nods and smiles a bit. "Flowers?"
Jayna smiles at Kindre. "Thank you, ma'am!" she says brightly, then quiets to listen to the conversations and nurse her burned mouth.
Maylia walks here from the Inner Cavern.
Pierron nods knowingly as the assistant weyrlingmaster enters.
T'saren chuckles at Jayna's expression, bobbing his head slightly. "All the wings should get riders as dedicated to serving them well as you are, Jayna." The words and tone behind them are slightly teasing, but good naturedly. He turns back to Aurian, cocking his head. "How do you think Kvasith and you would do as full riders, weyrling?" He glances over at Neliea. "And that goes for you and Xylath too. You seem to be a decent pair."
A'lex smiles politely at Maylia as she wanders into the cavern, "Evening."
Jayna smiles at Maylia, from her seat at a table. Her klah's half finished, but before she can get out her "Heya," her attention's diverted to T'saren, and what he's saying to Aurian. She listens unabashedly.
"Congratulations?" Kiat looks about with surprise, then smiles, seeing the knew knot. "Congratulations indeed. But then, Jayna, I had every faith in you. Twas just a matter of time, as it will be for the rest, hm?" He winks, murmuring to Kindre. "Aye, my dear. Dried flowers or some sort, made into tiny pillows-- Ah, Maylia," the bronzerider greets. "Hello to you."
Kassima reaches down to wipe her beslimed fingers off on 'Lex's shirt. "That's *disgusting*," she informs him with a wrinkled nose. "You think I want bronzerider spit all over m'hands? Eeeeyach! Hey, now, Kin...." She waggles one hopefully spit-free finger at the Weyrwoman. "If'n you think the Wingleader's crazed, you might as well come out and say it; you'd nay be the first! 'Tany rate, all right, 'twill drop the ma'aming. I just didn't want to stop paying homage to the Knot of Doom until given permission." She winks, grinning a grin that shows off several teeth. "Kay and Khari are well, but weird as all get out... Simaeva called me in this eve because Khari wanted t'paint m'nose blue and wouldn't sleep until she'd done it. Can you beat that one?"
Aurian glances from her sewing to look at T'saren, "I'd say truthfully that Kvasith and I would do quite well, sir." She adds another stitch or two.
Maylia smiles to A'lex as she heads to find herself some klah, but favours her weyrmate, accross the cavern, with a warm look. Sweetened klah in hand, she heads for where he's sitting, calling out, "Hello, Evening," and what have you, as appropriate.
Kassima nods slightly to both Maylia and K'tyn once she's finished with this tirade, casting a sidelong look at the pair before returning her attention to A'lex and Kin.
Neliea pauses over the rim of her mug, not really expecting to asked any questions as lowers said mug. "I know that Xylath and I will try to do our best and serve well," she replies and tries to keep a comment from Xylath quiet. -Someone- is just a little over eager. And it's not the rider.
A'lex just smirks.
Kindre takes the gift and smiles. "How kind..." is all she can murmur as she turns the pillow over a few times.
Maylia's entrance does not go unnoticed. "Evening weyrlingmaster," she offers in her direction before turning back to Kassima. "Blue? Well, I'd've thought she prefered brown paint to blue, but mayhaps that's just with the dragons...if I recall properly."
T'saren smiles just as warmly at Maylia, giving her a quick blown kiss before turning back to the weyrlings and former weyrling. He digests their words for a long moment, fingertips tapping his chin. "That's good," he finally comments, though whether to himself or them is another matter. "So, any particular wings you'd like to see take you on, or would you just be happy to get picked by someone so you can get out of the barracks?"
His gaze brilliantly speculative, K'tyn glances over at Aurian, Neliea and T'saren, listening to them converse. Well.
Maylia offers a rather uneasy smile towards Kindre, nodding. "Evening, Weyrwoman," she greets, quietly. When she reaches her weyrmate, a hand casually reaches for his shoulder, and she takes a seat.
Aurian runs a hand through her hair, "I haven't thought about specific wings much...." She answers quite truthfully.
Neliea shakes her head, "And I've been so busy, that I haven't been considering wings that much."
Elya enters from the Bowl.
Kassima explains, laughing slightly, "Oh, that's Kay. Kay loves brown things; Khari likes *bright* colors, and she's the one who's obsessed with paint. Simaeva's walls are truly interesting now, I promise you. Did I tell you that Kaylira tried t'paint her 'lizard brown, though?"
Elya sighs and sets down the bundle she's carrying, and smiles at the group. "Harpies duties to you all."
A'lex nods to the Harper, "Telgar's duties to the Harper Hall."
Jayna smiles at Elya. "Telgar's duties," she says brightly.
T'saren hmms to himself, reaching up to caress the back of his weyrmate's hand. He gives her a fond look, though a question is attached to it. "So, love. Did I hear Kerlyn correctly when she said the weyrlings were ready to be tapped out?"
Kassima blinks and repeats soundlessly, "Harpies duties?" She smiles, though, at the newcomer, and offers, "Duties t'your Hall and her Masters, Apprentice. Be welcomed to the Weyr." She shoots a comment to Tas: "I sure as shards hope so, or the esteemed Weyrlingmaster will have m'hide for a rug."
T'saren seems totally oblivious to the fact of Jayna's new wing knot and badge as he asks this, a tiny smile playing about the corner of his mouth. He gives Kassi a wink, then turns back to his weyrmate awaiting her answer.
A'lex looks at Kassi, "A throwrug?"
Neliea smiles over at Elya and nods in greeting from her comfortable chair.
"Most of them are," Maylia nods, a slight sparkle to her eye. "There are, of course, a few being held back, due to injury or what have you." She gives her weyrmate's shoulder a brief squeeze, before pulling her hand down and beside herself, to rest on his leg.
"Probably," Kassima affirms, eyeing A'lex oddly. "The sort used t'trip bronzeriders and make what few brains they've got go spilling out across the floor when their heads crack open."
A'lex rolls his eyes, "I love you too."
Elya smiles back at the folks who are addressing her, and finds a seat out of the way, somehow aquiring a cup of juice and a meatroll.
T'saren's smile widens just a bit, both at Maylia's reply and her hand on his leg. He taps his chin again thoughtfully. "So if I were to tap out a couple, let's say they were Aurian and Neliea for example, would Kerlyn have any objections to losing such fine riders to the fighting wings?"
Melia walks here from the Inner Cavern.
R'val looks up and smiles, "Melia!" he waves to her amiably.
A thoughtful expression crosses Maylia's face as the assistant weyrlingmaster considers this. "Aurian and Neliea, hmm? Well, we'll be a tad bit understrength on resupply until Daelyth's last clutch is far enough along, but I don't see Kerlyn objecting." She pauses. "That is, if they are willing, of course."
Elya squints at R'val, as if she recognizes him.Aurian raises her eyebrows from behind her mug.
Kindre pulls out of whatever conversation Herath deemed too important to miss. "Hrm? Shards, forgive me," she offers immediatedly as she catches up on the conversations at hand. "Jays, that's right...Kay loves brown. I bet Khari has done the walls just...lovely. We should sneak her into Mart's weyr and let her redecorate for his next turnday," she says before chuckling. Nodding to Elya, she smiles before offering, "Telgar's duties."
Neliea didn't hear anything. Not a single thing about tapping as she continues to sip on her klah. Well maybe she did hear right as she pauses in her drinking.
Jayna watches her fellow weyrlings with a broad, proud grin.
A'lex watches the proceedings with interest. A smile slowly spreads it way across his face.
T'saren nods slowly, glancing at the two weyrlings who's names he oh-so-casually brought up. "And just out of curiousity, would either of you accept, *if* I were to tap you out to Firestorm? Give me honest answers now, since that'll help me plan how I'm going to go about this whole tapping out thing when I find a couple good weyrlings."
Kassima has to grin at that, and lowers her voice to comment, "Y'know, Kin... R'ehn and Lirra and I have a plan t'get new revenge on Mart that you might be able t'help with... methinks you'll love it. Lirra's idea, 'twas, and 'tis *priceless.*"
Aurian sips her cider, "Well *if* you were to tap us out sir, I would just have to accept, sir." She places her mug down to trail a finger along one of the seams in the straps.
The Asst. Steward saunters into the Living Cavern, realizing that her work has kept her too busy to even keep up with the progression of the Telgar weyrlings. Spotting R'val, Melia heads in his direction.
Neliea looks calm as she sets her mug on the table. "I would accept sir, -if- you were to tap us," she replies. It's not like they'll be tapped anyways.
R'val smiles warmly at Melia, pulling a seat out for her and waving her over, "Hey, you!"
"Oh?" Kindre's brows raise into her forehead at the mention of an evil plan revolving around her "favorite" Reaches brownrider. "It's been far too long since I've delved into the plots against M'rgan, to be true," she says quietly. Catching sight of Melia, then, she waves to her before leaning an ear closer towards T'saren's conversation with the Weyrlings.
Melia grins down at him, "Heya, R'val." She plunks down in the seat, waving over to Kindre as she spots her among the crowd, and looks for others that she may know.T
'saren hmms again, digging into his beltpouch and pulling out two Firestorm knots and their matching badges, then plunking them down on the table with a broad grin. "So if I were to say Firestorm would be honored to have you both as riders in the wing, you'd take those with no regrets?" He nods toward the knots and badges.
R'val grins at Melia over his klah mug, "How goes it?"
Maylia watches with interest the weyrlings answers, now and then sipping at the mug of klah that is before her. Each time she does though, one might notice it's more to hide a grin than due to her interest in the drink.
Aurian blinks, "None sir. No regrets whatsoever." She blinks again.
Neliea blinks and looks at the knots and back, "No regrets, sir." She's in shock?
Maylia's green eyes slide up to her weyrmates' features, as she yet again hides a grin behind her mug.
Platinum ringlets bob as Melia nods to R'val, leaning closer to not disrupt the proceedings, her very first witnessing of such an event. "Fine," she whispers, "You?"
Elya sips her juice and nibbles on the meatroll, and listens, eyes twinkling.
T'saren laughs loudly and pushes the two knots to the shocked weyrlings. "Then go ahead and put them on. Welcome to Firestorm!" He gives them both a wink, then grins. "I hope you'll both serve your new wing as well as you did in your weyrling training."
Kassima leans over to explain her Plan to the Weyrwoman. She mutters to Kindre, "We... we'd... mess... oysters... to... and... 'em to... 'lizards are proddy, see.... supposed... an... Riche... any... dire... the... thing!" She sounds absolutely gleeful about whatever she's going to do to poor Mart, as ever. However, she tears herself away from the Glorious Plot long enough to call towards the new riders, "Felicitations, Wingriders! G'luck with your Wing and your psychotic Wingleader." She offers Tas a wink.
A'lex shakes his head, "You're all tapping these weyrlings out so fast, I'll not get ANY of them... Congratulations, ladies!"
R'val leans against Melia and murmurs, "Going good so far. Fun to watch weyrlings get nabbed, ain't it?"
Kindre calls her congrats to both of the now-former Weyrlings before laughing heartily at Kassima's whispered plan. "That, my friend, is too evil...though not for Mart. Brilliant!"
Melia winks and smiles at R'val, nodding, "Sure is, but.." Her whisper becomes less audible to those around them.
Aurian still rather stunned blinks down at the knot in her hand and then reaches up to unfasten the weyrling knot only to replace it with a full rider's knot.
Jayna beams. "Woohoo! Congrats, Nel, Aurian!" she says. "Turnday party coming!!" she adds cryptically, but obviously happy about it.
Mug forgotten on the table, Neliea finds some way to slowly smile as she nods, "Thank you sir." And oh, there that knot to change for weyrling to...full rider??
T'saren winks back at Kassi, then grins at A'lex. "You'll probably get stuck with the ones nobody else wants, A'lex. And we all *know* who they are, so we're specifically leaving them for you, since you're taking so long." He looks back at the newest members of Firestorm, still smiling. "I hope you're used to drills in the wee hours of the morning, since that's standard in Firestorm."
Maylia now allows her smile to show, placing the mug back on the table. "Firestorm's a fine wing, both of you. Congratulations." She winks up at her weyrmate, and gives the two former-weyrlings a knowing nod. "And just remember, I'll hear about it if you give him any problems." The assistant weyrlingmaster is clearly just kidding, as if there was any doubt they were ready, they'd not be tapped.
R'val murmurs to Melia, "Not sure, I've never picked anyone for a wing."
A'lex snorts, "Hey, I've never done this before, gimme a chance!!"
Aurian grins at Maylia and leans across the table to whisper something, she whispers, "At least I don't have to Ma'am you anymore."
Kassima grins broadly, eyes positively snapping with mirth. "I only wish I could be taking the credit! Fortunately, 'twill still be m'life that the plan will save... and probably a few other lives, too. You haven't seen Mart about lately, have you?"
Maylia laughs at Aurian's whispered comment, and as she settles back int her seat, a quiet answer is given. She mutters to Aurian, "No,... now,... make... it!" Yet again, she's clearly joking, from the grin on her face.
You sense Maylia laughs at Aurian's whispered comment, and as she settles back into her seat, a quiet answer is given. "No, in fact, if I catch you ma'aming me now, I'll make you regret it!" Yet again, she's clearly joking, from the grin on her face.
Aurian chuckles at Maylia, "Of course you would." She winks at her long time friend.
Melia nods at R'val's answering whisper in her ear. "Oh, ok, I see," she whispers back.
R'val grins affably at Melia and sips his klah, "What've you been up to today?"
Neliea recovers from surprise, only to be grinning now as she picks up the badge and looks back to Aurian.
Kassima draws her attention away from Kin as the Weyrwoman is distracted, and grins over at Tas. "That's several down, and only a few left t'go. It should be interesting t'see which Wing is confirmed as being the best once the integration is complete."
Jayna blinks at Kassi, with a look that says the answer's obvious. She grins.
Melia shrugs and shakes her head, "Trust me, you don't want to know. I've been to the Halls a lot recently."
Kvasith> Above, Yasinth flies over from the north end of the bowl.
Kvasith> Above, Yasinth flies over towards the Star Stones.
Kvasith> Kvasith watches the green dragon fly over, he rumbles curiously.
Kvasith> Kvasith warbles at Yasinth.
Kassima winks at Jayna, and confides, "Some of these strange people seem nay t'realize the ultimate truth that's before them... namely, that our Wing is the best of the best. Bizarre as beaks on a bovine, 'tis nay?"
Kvasith> Yasinth streaches, yawing and streaching beautifically.
Kvasith> I bespoke Yasinth with << Aren't you cold? >>
Dragon> Yasinth bespoke Kvasith with << I am not cold. I have been flying much. >>
Aurian smoothes the badge of the firestorm wing out lightly. She smiles at it and chuckles.
Kvasith> I bespoke Yasinth with << Well I'm cold. >>
Jayna laughs. "Absolutely, wingleader," she says with a salute, standing. "Well, I think I'm off again, to...well, clean out the patch and move the rest of the furs. And find something to sit on. Evening, all!" she grins. Again.
Kvasith> Yasinth straightens and shakes herself out, wings spreading, breath chuffing loudly.
Melia blinks, wondering if that was all, she certainly must have been busy to only crowd in on the last few minutes.
Kvasith> Kvasith mantles his wings lightly and curls up.
Elya stands up, finishes the last of her juice, and shoulders the bundle she brought in. She murmurs goodbyes and carefully works her way out.
Neliea glances over at Aurian and whispers, "What's so funny?" Nevermind that she's lightly fingering her new knot as well.
Kassima makes a face at Jayna. "Kassi," she corrects, "and nay saluting! Try empty boxes for chairs; I've been using 'em for Turns. Clear skies, and don't be forgetting--drills at first light!"
Aurian chuckles and shrugs at her friend, "Just very very happy."
Kvasith> Yasinth peers at Kvasith, taking a step near him, neck extended, and WHUFFs his face. On her back, A'ser is busy going through the pockets of jacket.
Neliea grins, "So am I."
R'val glances at Aurian and Neliea and smiles faintly, "Congrats, and all that."
Maylia settles herself against her weyrmate, now that Tas has finished the 'buisiness' of the evening. A soft smile touches her face, and she grins up at him. "I'll never forget Ursa tapping me. Proddy as a flight of greens, I was."
Jayna chuckles, salutes, doesn't ma'am, and heads for Sioneth. "Night all!"Jayna walks down the short tunnel and out into the bowl.
Kvasith> From a distance, Sioneth flies over from the north end of the bowl.
Kvasith> From a distance, Sioneth has arrived.
T'saren grins at Aurian and Neliea, looking almost as pleased as they do. He leans over and gives Maylia a soft kiss, then nods in agreement. "Same as I'll never forget Cav doing the same for me. Of course, Sol wasn't proddy then."
A'lex laughs at Maylia, "And this is different from every day how?"
Kvasith> From a distance, Sioneth lands on Sioneth's Ledge.
Neliea grins happily towards R'val, "Thanks R'val."
Kvasith> Kvasith whuffs right back at the green. He presses his nose to her side.
