The Tables Are Turned

There was just one title for this one because it fit so well. Aurian has been an offical tormenter of V'hryn since she met the poor lad after a flight. Kassima coerced her into somethings and well… its been history.

So after recent events Aurian pounced on an opportunity to tease the High Reaches brownrider, only to have things go in an a completely different fashion.

Upper Sky

You are flying high up in the skies over Pern. So high, in fact, that it seems as though you can see the entire northern continent laid out below you. There is hardly a sound other than the wind and the beating of your dragon's wings as your soar about.

From here you can fly to anyplace on Pern. The Fort peninsula appears to the Southwest, while the mountains of High Reaches can be see to the northwest. Due south, you can make out Ista Island, while a bit further to the east of that, you can see the Igen Desert. Further to the east, you can see out across Bitra and Lemos, towards Benden Weyr.

Obvious exits:

Ista Area High Reaches Area Benden Area Igen Area Fort Area

Catching a gentle breeze beneath your wings, you glide gently downwards as you soar in an easterly direction. The farmlands and forests of the holds surrounding Benden Weyr spread out before you like a patterned quilt, the colors changing throughout the seasons.

High Above Telgar's Territory(#8681RJLMe$)

You are soaring in the air high above Telgar Territory, which is comprised of an impressive stretch of land along the midnorthern quarter of the continent. Telgar Weyr's extinct volcano is clearly visible, the thousands of dragonlengths of striated stone an imposing sight from the lands below. Telgar Lake sparkles on the plateau formed of ancient lava at the western base of the mountain. The Telgar River Valley stretches out through the central portion of the territory, three vine-like branches of the Telgar River often running

parallel to the trade roads winding from Hall to Hold. The foothills bordering the valley are marked with regular patches of green, where farms and vineyards have domesticated the land. Swaths of earthy, well-trodden ground near Bitra show were vast herds are grazing, while the tall grasslands around western Lemos are inspiring in their Threadfree verdant beauty. The magestic palisades on the northern half of the Nerat peninsula give way to stony land farther south.

Sky Above Telgar Weyr

You fly towards Telgar Weyr and look down into the arge caldera.

Air Above Telgar Weyr

You are flying in the skies directly above Telgar Weyr. The Weyr itself is a huge caldera directly below you, formed in an irregular hourglass shape. Its size is impressive; a small Hold could easily fit within its bowl with room left over. Stretching roughly to the north and south is the mountain range of which the Weyr is part, rugged peaks of bare rock and stone. You can see the expanse of Telgar territory to the east and west.

From here you can fly downwards to the 'Southern Bowl' or 'Central Bowl', or you can land 'Outside Telgar Weyr' near the Entrance Tunnel.

The skies above are clear, not a cloud in sight as far as the eye can see.

Obvious exits:

You fly downwards towards the southern end of the bowl.

Southern Bowl Airspace(#1362RLQe)

Hovering above the southern part of Telgar Weyrs hourglass-shaped bowl, you are surrounding by a three-quarter circle of spiky rock walls. Flat across its east face and open at its northern-most end, the shape is perfect to bring up the chill winds which swirl around you. Below, you can almost make out the bustling of activity outside of the Living Caverns and Infirmary as well as the lower ledges of the Queenriders and Weyrleaders. Far off to the northwest is the gaping cavern of the Hatching grounds and the weyrling barracks. Beast sounds filter across from the northeast as the feeding pens are located there. The other half of the hourglass and lake reach perfectly north, the snow-capped peaks of mountains not far beyond them.

To see a list of landing areas, '+view landing sites'. You can see the dragonweyrs of Skyfire and Thunderbolt wings. Use '+view skyfire' or '+view thunderbolt' to see them.

Obvious exits:

Star Stones

You fly downwards towards the ground.

Southern Bowl(#396RJL$)

Towering above, the bowl wall rises in a curving three pointed arc as it shelters this southernmost point of Telgar Weyr's great cauldera. Sloping down to the north to a slight degree, the floor of the bowl channeled so that runoff might drain down to the lake beyond. There are several strategically placed evergreens that serve to baffle the biting mountain winds away from the southern entrance into the living Caverns. The odor of pickling and preserves emerging from the Living Cavern is strong, a sure sign that the summer fruits and vegetables are being stored for the winter. Northward, the center of the bowl spreads hugely, leading to the feeding pens, hatching grounds, weyrling barracks and the Telgar Weyr lake. The ground-level weyrs of the queenriders dot the mountain to the northwest. Use '+view queenriders' to view them. The murmur of voices and the clatter of pots and chairs drifts from the Living Cavern, where the evening meal is being served.

The skies above are clear, not a cloud in sight as far as the eye can see.

You undo your riding straps, sliding swiftly down the brown hide.

You walk past the lintel and into the wide living cavern.

Telgar Weyr's Living Cavern(#750RJM$)

This huge cavern is sufficently roomy to hold a large portion of the Weyr's population without feeling cramped. There's always a bustle of activity here. Fragrant dishes are constantly in prepartion for mealtimes: currently for the evening meal. Drudges are always present, either cleaning under Pierron's watchful eye, or helping fetch and carry. A myriad of glowbaskets and many ever-lit hearths make the cavern warm and inviting despite its size. The scents of cooking meats, baking breads and pastries, and the pungent aroma of spices hang mouthwateringly in the air. It is little wonder that those seeking to relax nearly always find their way here to do it. Dark summer blooms of vivid hue decorate the tables.

A short tunnel jaunts northward out to the bowl and the merry sounds of cooking, chores, and laughter echo from the kitchen at the southeast end of the cavern near the easterly passage to the rest of the lower caverns. Within the lower caverns is an entrance to the infirmary weyr to care for injured dragons and riders.

Neliea chuckles and nods, "True..."

Aurian stretches as she enters, "Beautiful night, I love the summer."

Neliea looks over at Aurian and waves, "Hey Aurian!"

Aurian waves her splinted wrist in greeting, "Heyla Neliea." She head to the dawnslight table.

Saskia smiles, "Hi again Aurian. Yeah, I love summer nights. In fact I think I'm going to take a walk outside."

"How's your wrist, Aurian," Neliea asks as she grins at Saskia. "See you later?"

"Broke," The brownrider announces to Neliea as she decides to head to the serving table instead.

Saskia drains her mug and rises to her feet, "Tomorrow I hope, Nel. Gotta turn in pretty early for a dawn meeting. Take care of that wrist, Aurian."

R'val smiles, "It certainly has its nice points."

Saskia smiles to R'val, "Aye. Night."

Saskia walks down the short tunnel and out into the bowl.

Kvasith> Saskia comes out of the short tunnel from the living cavern.

Kvasith> Saskia walks north.

Neliea nods to Saskia as she gives the indicated wrist a worried gaze. "Broke," she echos in disbelief, glancing up at the brownrider.

Aurian takes a bowl of stew, since its the easiest thing she can serve herself one handed, "Aye broke. I went to the healers and now I can't fly in threadfall for a sevenday.."

Neliea ohs softly as she turns around her chair, sitting in the opposite way, one leg folded and leaning against the back of the seat. "A sevenday? I guess it could have been worse?"

Aurian nods as she drops into her seat, "Yeah they could have grounded me.. bad enough I have to explain to T'saren what happened..."

Neliea nods, "That's not going to be easy to do, but it's better than having the healers ground you..."

R'val chuckles, "Anything's better than being grounded."

Aurian shakes her head, "T'saren will kill. That's all." She chuckles.

Neliea chuckles, "I hope not."

Aurian chuckles.

Neliea glances outside and stands, "I think that I'm going to take a small walk outside too. Must be the weather tonight... I'll see you all later."

Neliea walks down the short tunnel and out into the bowl.

Kvasith> Neliea comes out of the short tunnel from the living cavern.

Kvasith> Neliea easily climbs up Xylath's back with the help of a forearm as she takes hold of the straps, settling down between his neckridges.

Kvasith> Xylath takes flight, using the thermals rising from the bowl to carry him aloft.

Kvasith> Above, Xylath rises up from the bowl.

Kvasith> Above, Xylath flies towards the north end of the bowl.

Kvasith> Above, Xylath flies over from the north end of the bowl.

Kvasith> Above, Xylath flies over towards the Star Stones.

Dossa walks here from the Inner Cavern.

Dossa walks in, immediately claiming a broom, and sets to sweeping the main walkway between the exit to the bowl, and the kitchen.

R'val smiles, "Dossa, hey!"

Dossa looks over and smiles to R'val. "Evening, dragonrider," she says cheerfully as she sweeps.

R'val winks, "How's life?"

"Busy!" Dossa sweeps up some dried mud and dust crawlers into a pan, which she deposits in a nearby refuse bin.

R'val chortles, "Ever busy, us weyrfolk!"

Aurian starts to scratch her arm, "Shards this itches."

Dossa nods, smiling. "Always busy." She pauses in her dilligent sweeping to mop at her brow with her sleeve.

R'val slurps his klah and grins, "That means it's healing.'

Aurian scowls, "No it means that evil has been done, and I know that the sisal was a better bandage.." She goes back to scratching her arm.

Kvasith> Above, From the Telgar Star Stones, Kl'loh, on brick-brown Yoxath, backwings to a clean landing and settles, replacing Pale green Ninnenth, bearing her rider Requa, on watchrider duty.

R'val grins at Aurian, amused.

Dossa frowns a little, sweeping near Aurian and R'val. "Itching does mean its healing. Did the healers say no to the sisal?"

Aurian scowls, "People seem to be of a belief that healers shouldn't heal themselves.

Dossa blinks. "You were a healer? Oh my..." She smiles apoligetically.

Aurian nods, "Aye." She takes a spoonful of her stew."

R'val smiles, "So was I..."

Aurian murmurs, "You were a journeyman though."

Dossa blinks again. "Both of you were healers? My, I'm in good hands!" She sweeps her way back to the dustpan where she scoops up the rubbish and deposits it away.

R'val laughs, "Yeah, well, it's been nearly 20 Turns for me, so don't fall if you can help it."

Aurian grins, "You'd be surprise that a lot of dragonriders are former healers.."

Dossa leans the broom against the cavern wall, and rests her hands on her hips. "With Threadscore such a horrible possibility... I'm sure the knowledge comes in handy..."

R'val nods, "All too often."

Aurian flinches a little at the mention of threadscore, "Far too often."

Dossa softens, seeing two identical replies from two very different riders. She bites her lip, then goes to clean some tables... obviously her embarassment activity.

R'val smiles at Dossa, "But don't let us worry you."

Kvasith> Above, Xylath leaps from the Star Stones to sail over the Bowl.

Kvasith> Xylath backwings for a landing.

Kvasith> Neliea nimbly climbs down from Xylath's neckridges, pausing to gently brush a hand along her lifemate's muzzle as he turns a large light blue muzzle to his lifemate, wuffling her hair gently in return.

Kvasith> Neliea easily climbs up Xylath's back with the help of a forearm as she takes hold of the straps, settling down between his neckridges.

Dossa shrugs lightly, wiping down a table rather noncomittally. "I... I'm sorry for mentioning an obviously poor subject."

R'val smiles, "it has to be talked about, Dossa. Don't feel bad."

Aurian shakes her head at Dossa, "Its the way it is."

Dossa sighs, and nods, forcing a smile to the fore. "I suppose so. Can I get either of you two anything?"

R'val smiles, "I wouldn't mind some klah, Dossa.'

Aurian shakes her head as she eats her stew, "Nah I'm fine."

Dossa nods, and fetches R'val some klah, but not as energetically as she normally does. With a small smile, she serves it to him. "Here you are."

Kvasith> Misroth takes flight, using the thermals rising from the bowl to carry him aloft.

Kvasith> Above, Misroth rises up from the bowl.

Kvasith> Above, Misroth flies up and out of the bowl.

Kvasith> Above, Misroth flies out over Telgar and disappears over the rim of the bowl.

R'val takes it and smiles, "you look like you need a break."

Dossa smiles. "I've been working so hard since I moved up to the living cavern here," she says, smiling tiredly.

R'val smiles, "Well, take a break, you look like you need it."

Dossa flops down into a chair gratefully. "Thank you," she giggles.

R'val grins, "Take more breaks, or I'll ...err...I'll reprimand ya.'

Kvasith> Neliea nimbly climbs down from Xylath's neckridges, pausing to gently brush a hand along her lifemate's muzzle as he turns a large light blue muzzle to his lifemate, wuffling her hair gently in return.

Dossa blinks, and rights herself in her chair. "Yes sir, of course!" She looks at you, thinking you totally serious.

R'val laughs, "I'm kidding!"

Aurian pushes her stew about in her bowl.

Kvasith> Neliea walks beneath the lintel and disappears into the living cavern.

Neliea walks in from the bowl.

Pierron tells a lower cavern's girl to hurry up with the dishes.

Dossa blinks at R'val, then catches the joke, and covers her mouth, smiling and blushing. "Oh!"

R'val smiles at the blush, "Yer too easy to tease." He winks.

Aurian waves at Neliea. She scowls down at her hand she starts to scratch at it again.

Neliea glances over at Pierron, looking at the man as if he's a few quartermarks off if he ment to tell her to hurry. Shrugging and ignoring that, she makes her way towards the klah pot, smiling to herself as she makes note of Dossa from reaching for a mug. "Evening again. Anything intresting happen while I was away?"

R'val shakes his head with a smile, "Not much."

Dossa hops up, someone entering the LC. "Can I get you any... Neliea!" She smiles, and rushes over to her friend.

Neliea chuckles as she pours up the klah, glancing at the rushing Dossa and wondering is she's going to be tackle hugged. Hoping for the best she grins, "Heya Dosaa. I went to get the fabric for the dresses earlier today, so we can start whenever we're both ready." Looking over at Aurian she asks, "Is it itching?"

Dossa wraps her arms around Neliea and gives her a generous hug. "That's so wonderful! I can't wait. How's Xylath?"

Neliea returns the hug, deftly moving that mug -out- of splashing harm as she moves towards the Dawnslight table, taking her friend along. "Xy's doing great, the large lump decided to sleep in longer than me today, since it was our day off. How have things been in the kitchens, Dossa?"

Dossa sighs. "Tiring. I've never worked so hard in my life!"

Neliea glances over at the brownrider and decides to get her mind off of that wrist, "Aurian, do you want to help us discuss dress styles for Dossa here?" Nodding to the girl, she settles into a chair, cradling her mug between her hands. "It hopefully gets better, but it's not as bad as working in the lower

caverns, hmm?"

Aurian scowls and scritches her arm, "huh dresses?"

Dossa smiles, and bobs her head in a quick nod. "Neliea's going to help me with a dress or two, since I had to borrow her clothes for the recent Beastcraft gather." She nudges Neliea. "You're too big."

Aurian glances over the girl, "We're about the same height.."

Neliea raises the mug to her lips, pausing and glancing sideways at Dossa. "I'm not too big, but I guess height does that to a person," she replies teasingly.

There's not other reason for her to be big.

Dossa smiles softly. "I don't have a figure, though. She does. She's got... things... to fill out the dresses," she says, blushing.

Aurian blushes intensely.

R'val grins, "You're young, Dossa."

Dossa shrugs a little, looking down at her lap. "I know, I know. Still. I'd love a dress that fit -me-," she murmurs, and smiles to Neliea. "And she's going to help."

Neliea surpresses that giggle as she peers over the rim of her mug. "You'll eventually, ah, um, have a figure Dossa...and yes, we'll get at least a dress or two out of that fabric."

Dossa shrugs a little, blushing. "Oh, I'm in no rush. I have a job to do, and I can't do it with boys staring at me!"

R'val laughs, "Good way to think of it."

Aurian buttons her jacket to cover her things, "Shards.."

R'val glances at Aurian and grins, amused.

Neliea chuckles and nods, "There's a point, Dossa..."

Aurian scowls at R'val, then back at her wrist and starts scratching agian.

R'val winks, playful.

Dossa sighs, and looks around. "I shouldn't sit here like this... Rhiallya could walk in, and holler for not working!"

R'val chuckles, "Surely you're done for the night?"

Dossa nods thoughtfully. "I am... but... I don't want to upset her. She seems like such a nice headwoman, and I wouldn't want to give her the wrong impression."

Neliea arches an eyebrow, "Everyone needs time off though."

R'val chuckles, "Take what time off you can get, silly, we all need it."

Dossa sighs and nods. She pulls the pins out of her hair and fixes it back up again, careful to catch the unruly strands. "I suppose so," she murmurs, smiling.

R'val rises to refill his mug and grins, "Dossa, let me get YOu a drink."

Kvasith> Above, From the Telgar Star Stones, Kl'loh's brick-brown Yoxath rears on hind legs and bugles a greeting to brown Tebrelth and his rider, V'hryn of HighReaches Weyr.

Dossa raises an eyebrow. "A... drink? For me? I can get for myself, I think, R'val..." She begins to protest.

Kvasith> Above, Tebrelth glides down from above.

Kvasith> Tebrelth backwings for a landing.

R'val laughs, "No no. Sit where you are and let me."

Kvasith> Kvasith rumbles politely to the arriving brown.

Kvasith> V'hryn clambers down Tebrelth's side to the ground, using his foreleg as a step.

Aurian smiles to the bowl and continues to scratch at her arm.

Dossa hmphs, crossing her arms across her chest.

Kvasith> Tebrelth rumbles his greetings to the Telgarian dragons, flicking back his wings even as V'hryn dismounts.

Kvasith> V'hryn walks beneath the lintel and disappears into the living cavern.

V'hryn walks in from the bowl.

R'val glances up at the new arrival, "Telgar's duties, V'hryn. Here for Kassima?"

Aurian smiles at V'hryn as she continues to scratch her broken wrist, "Evening V'hryn, Telgar's duties."

Neliea looks over to V'hryn, nodding in greeting. "Telgar's duties and good eve," she says before taking another sip of klah.

Dossa springs up. "Telgar's services to you, dragonrider! Can I get you anything?" She shoots a wicked grin at R'val, then returns to her plain, polite smile to V'hryn.

R'val sticks his tongue out at Dossa, "Evil."

That's gotta be a sure way to make this High Reachian brownrdier even more paranoid about coming to Telgar than V'hryn already is. A suspicious glance is thrown R'val's way as he curtly shakes his head. "No. Why would I be? I've got hides to deliver." Again. Someone back home has got it in for him even moreso than these Telgar types.

R'val hrms, "To whom?" He asks of the brownrider.

Aurian flickers her glance up and down V'hryn. Probably remembering him in a much different guise, "How are you?"

"None of your business bluerider." To which it isn't, and V'hryn's not going to give anyone any idea neither. He twists around at Aurian's question, the young man's shoulder's shrugging lightly. "Well enough." At least his riding leathers aren't draughty.

R'val raises an eyebrow, then shakes his head at the stranger, turning his attention to his drink.

Since he's close enough, Aurian reaches over and grabs at V'hryn's wrist, "Mind if I ask you a few small questions?"

Neliea raises a brow, as she peers over her mug at Aurian's action and leaning against the table in front of her. For now it's better to just stay quiet and watch.

V'hryn's brows arch at Aurian commandeers his wrist and personage, "A few questions?" Now that has got him suspicious, but wouldn't do to offend the lady, now would it. "If it doesn't take too long, I s'pose." And that's as close to a yes as anyone will get.

Dossa settles back down in her chair, watching the goings on all around her.

With an almost feline look Aurian smiles, indeed if she had a tail it would be twitching, "Oh it won't take long at all.."

V'hryn simply nods, waiting for Aurian to proceed with the inquisition.

Aurian tugs him down into a seat right next to her, she leans close and murmurs softly to him. She mutters to V'hryn, "... did... think... your... flight." The redhead smiles at him wickedly.

V'hryn senses "Aurian tugs him down into a seat right next to her, she leans close and murmurs softly to him. "Soooo tell me, what did you think of your first.. flight." The redhead smiles at him wickedly."

Dossa hums to herself, using the hem of her skirt to touch at imaginary specks on the table.

V'hryn's eyes narrow fractionally at the Telgarian brownrider, his shoulders shrugging lightly. For some reason the boy won't blush. Nope. He mutters to Aurian, "... much... except this... end up staying... than... no feeling..." Of course, ill and totally freaked are two different things.

You sense V'hryn's eyes narrow fractionally at the Telgarian brownrider, his shoulders shrugging lightly. For some reason the boy won't blush. Nope. "Pretty much the same as the others except this time I did end up staying longer than expected, and no feeling ill the next morning." Of course, ill and totally freaked are two different things.

Aurian leans closer than ever to V'hryn, indeed her mouth is almost against his ear. She mutters to V'hryn. She smiles.

V'hryn senses "Aurian leans closer than ever to V'hryn, indeed her mouth is almost against his ear. "Oh come on innocent one... how was it?" She smiles."

R'val glances around the cavern boredly, and stands, "night."

R'val walks down the short tunnel and out into the bowl.

Kvasith> R'val comes out of the short tunnel from the living cavern.

Neliea continues to sip on her klah, draining the last of it from her mug as she watches the conversation from under heavy lidded eyes. Turning her gaze to anything else in the cavern, she nods to R'val as he leaves.

V'hryn quirks a brow at Aurian, again no blush rising in his ears, cheeks or neck. He mutters to Aurian, "... it... be... all... fun... finding... yourself?" And with that, he plants a firm kiss on the brownrider before rising from his chair without waiting for an answer, "If you'll excuse me." And with that he walks out.

You sense V'hryn quirks a brow at Aurian, again no blush rising in his ears, cheeks or neck. "I really don't see how it can be any of your business Aurian, and besides, wouldn't that take away all the fun of finding out for yourself?" And with that, he plants a firm kiss on the brownrider before rising from his chair without waiting for an answer, "If you'll excuse me." And with that he walks out.

V'hryn walks down the short tunnel and out into the bowl.

Kvasith> V'hryn comes out of the short tunnel from the living cavern.

Kvasith> V'hryn hops up onto Tebrelth's back, using his straps as handholds.

Aurian looks absolutely stunned. SHe places her hand on her mouth and looks more stunned.

Neliea definetly looks just as surprised as she looks at the brownrider. "Do I even -want- to ask what that was about, Aurian?"

Aurian blushes, "ummmmm I thought I knew.." She blinks.

Dossa blinks, watching that sudden unexpected turn of the conversation walk out. "Oh my..."

Neliea nods -very- slowly, "Maybe...maybe not. Um..." She's just surprised by that kiss and who is was from. Mug forgotten, it's still hanging limply in between her hands.

Dossa looks down at the imaginary spot she's rubbing. "Who... was that dragonrider?" She asks timidly.

Aurian blinks at Dossa, still looking more than a little dazed, "Ohhh that was V'hryn.. brownrider from the Reaches.."

Neliea sets that mug back onto the table, shaking her head. "So...hmm, is he comming back," she asks slowly, just for doing so.

Dossa asks, gently, "If I may ask, Aurian, what was that kiss about?"

Aurian blinks again and in response to both questions, "I don't know."

R'val enters from the Bowl.

R'val wanders back in, stripping off his helmet and gloves, "There, that's that taken care of." he remarks.

Neliea nods and straightens up in her chair, picking up her mug tiredly. "Well, I'm always free to talk and you know where to find me, Aurian." Looking to Dossa, she smiles and places over mug with the others in the reuse bin. "And on that, I'm going to turn in early tonight. Sleep is certainly one thing that I've missed over the few sevendays..." Glancing to R'val, she nods on her way out.

Aurian blinks and blinks again.

Dossa's smile follows Neliea. "Goodnight, Neliea."

Neliea tosses a wave over her shoulder as she walks towards the bowl. "Good night."

R'val sits back down near the two, "How's it going?" He asks.

Dossa shrugs a little, and then covers her mouth with her hand as she yawns. "Bed sounds like a good idea," she murmurs.

Aurian blinks at R'val, she's barely relized he was there. She's stopped scratching her arm thankfully.

R'val glances at Dossa amusedly and grins, "Well, you /have/ worked aweful hard today."

Dossa nods affirmatively. "Yes, always. Every day, R'val," she says, smiling tiredly.

Aurian touches her mouth again, still with a stunned look.

R'val glances at Aurian, "You've an odd look about you tonight. What's wrong, if I may ask."

Aurian blinks, "Huh?"

Dossa looks up at R'val curiously.

R'val grins at Aurian, "You just..look stunned."

Aurian blinks at R'val and wails, "Well I am!"

R'val cocks his head, "By what?"

Dossa looks terribly confused. "Maybe I should go to bed," she says to herself, getting up.

"Well he kissed me!" Aurian wails again.

Halam walks here from the Inner Cavern.

R'val blinks at Aurian, "Yeah. So?"

R'val smiles, "G'night, Dossa.'

Dossa pauses, and looks back. "Maybe he likes you?" She says innocently.

R'val winks at Dossa, "You're learning."

Halam heads over to the hearth, pours himself a cup of klah and walks to his usual corner seat smiling and noding as he passes people.

Aurian blinks at Dossa, "You think?" She rakes a hand through her hair.

Dossa shrugs. "The drudge boys used to kiss me. Then I learned how to kick." She curtseys gracefully, then heads off. "Goodnight!"

Dossa walks towards the inner cavern.

R'val chortles softly, "Why /else/ would V'hryn kiss ya?"

Aurian stares at her arm, "I.. I don't know.."

R'val crosses his arms over his chest, "Don't you? Hmmmm."

Aurian blinks again, "Well I don't know.."

R'val chuckles, "What'd he /say/?"

Aurian shakes her head at R'val, "It had nothing to do with the kiss.."

R'val regards Aurian thoughtfully, "Really. Hm."

R'val waves, 'Seeya Aurian."

R'val walks down the short tunnel and out into the bowl.

Kvasith> R'val comes out of the short tunnel from the living cavern.

Kvasith> Above, Azeth leaps from Azeth's Ledge and flies into the air.

Kvasith> Azeth backwings for a landing.

Kvasith> N'kshar slides down Azeth's side with the help of her extended forelimb, and gives the dragon an affectionate thump on the side.

Kvasith> N'kshar walks beneath the lintel and disappears into the living cavern.

N'kshar walks in from the bowl.

Aurian is sitting at the dawnslight table looking very stunned.

N'kshar walks in from the bowl, whistling a nondescript tune. "Heya, Aurian." He says, heading for the klah pots. He stops and looks her over more carefully. "Are you okay?"

Aurian blinks and nods, "I um suppose so.."

N'kshar pours himself a mug of klah. "You aren't exactly making me be convinced of that." He says, his brow furrowing slightly. He takes a sip from his mug and walks over in her direction. "Mind if I have a seat?"

Aurian gestures to one of the chairs, "Oh sure.

Aurian sighs, "Well my wrist is broken.. I'm just a bit stunned by something else is all."

"Really?" Nikh says, looking quickly toward Aurian's wrist. "How did that happen?" He asks, a worried look crossing his face. "And something else?"

"I fell off a bronco," Aurian nods to the greenrider, "And um aye something else

N'kshar nods his head a few times. "I broke my arm once... Didn't much care for it..." He grimaces a bit. "And, if I might ask... What is this other thing?"

Aurian tries to scratch her arm again, "Well he kissed me!"

N'kshar sits for a moment, pondering this. "Uhm... Who?" He says after a few seconds.

"V'hryn..he's um from the reaches.." Aurian stares down at her bandages again.

N'kshar ahhhs, and nods his head slightly. "So, what did he do? Just run in, kiss you, then run off, or what?"

Aurian blinks, "Well we were talking, and then he kissed me... then he left!"

N'kshar takes a sip of klah, bobbing his head slightly. "What were you talking about? And furthermore, how and where did he kiss you?" He asks with a slight grin.

"In here! I was teasing him... and and then he kissed me!" Aurian wails.

N'kshar hmms quietly. "I take it that you didn't like it then." He notes, taking another sip of klah. "Well, how did he kiss you?"

The redhead whispers, "But I did like it..." Aurian bites her bottom lip, "It was um rather firm.. he never gave me a chance to respond.."

N'kshar chuckles quietly. "Well, that sounds rather rude. He could've at least let you respond, couldn't he have?"

Aurian nods, "Yess..."

"Well," Nikh says, "maybe he'll not run off so fast next time." He thinks for a second. "What color does V'hryn ride again?"

Aurian murmurs, "Brown.."

N'kshar nods. "Well, at least it's not bronze..." He says, mostly to himself.

Aurian nods in agreement, "True."

"Bronzeriders," Nikh begins, taking a sip of klah. "tend to have a bit of a... Well, a bit of a inclination to..." He stops and frowns slightly. "Well, I think you know what I mean."

Kvasith> Above, Lysseth leaps from Lysseth's Ledge and flies into the air.

Kvasith> Lysseth backwings for a landing.

Kvasith> Kassima slides down from Lysseth's neckridges to land beside her with ease. Lysseth cocks her head at her rider, rumbling quietly as Kassi gives her eyeridges a grateful scratching.

Kvasith> Kassima walks beneath the lintel and disappears into the living cavern.

Kassima walks in from the bowl.

Pierron humphs thoughtfully as the Wingleader of Thunderbolt arrives.

Aurian nods, "They also tend to leave the moment they catch gold.. "

Aurian rests her chin on her fist, "Unless their weyrmate rides a green.."

"You tempt me, daily," Kassima informs Pierron, looking not to be in the best of moods, "to write a satire about you. Or sing that curse-song I know. Did you realize that you sound like a porcine when you do that?" Pierron must be rather accustomed to such comments, since he ignores them, eliciting from the greenrider a resigned sigh. "He never *is* going t'stop, is he? Evening, all, by the by."

Aurian waves at Kassima with her good hand, still a little stunned looking.

N'kshar nods his head in full agreement. "Yes, they do." He sighs and leans back in his chair a bit. "Oh, heya Kassi." He says with a smile as his Wingleader arrives.

Kassima asks rather astutely, "Speaking of bronzeriders, are we? Auri, has anyone mentioned t'you yet tonight that you look as though someone had hit you upside the head with a dead wherry? And do either of you have any numbweed? My legs are *killing* me." Among other things.

"Numbweed? No, sorry, Kassi." Nikh says, finishing his klah. "Well," He says, standing up. "I'd best be getting to sleep. G'night both of you." He says with a smile, passing the mug off to a drudge and heading out.

N'kshar walks down the short tunnel and out into the bowl.

Kvasith> N'kshar comes out of the short tunnel from the living cavern.

Kvasith> N'kshar easily makes the climb onto Azeth, using her extended forelimb. The green regards him with a croon and slowly whirling eyes, receiving a loving thump on the side.

Kvasith> Azeth takes flight, using the thermals rising from the bowl to carry her aloft.

Kvasith> Above, Azeth rises up from the bowl.

Kvasith> Above, Azeth lands on Azeth's Ledge.

Aurian sighs, "I have that small pot if you want it Kassima.." She scowls at her arm and starts to scratch.

Kassima eases herself into a chair, making a face after Nikh. "Have you ever noticed that men never seem t'carry aught that's useful? Honestly. Thankee, Auri, but I doubt there's enough in that pot... frankly, I need t'find a vat of the stuff and *sit* in it. *And* get some more powders for tea. There's naught like trying t'sit Lysseth through drills with a rump so bruised you could be mistaken for wearing black shorts even without clothing and food poisoning from your mother's cooking. If'n you ever go t'Greystones, and a short woman with blue eyes and black hair in a bun offers t'make you food, just say *nay*!"

Aurian continues to scratch her arm, "What did you have?"

Kassima says with disgust, "Clams. Half-shelled, half-baked, half-charred-to-cinders clams. *Disgusting*. I usually manage to escape without eating aught, but Mum hadn't seen me in a span and insisted that I try her latest recipe. I hope there wasn't anyone below me when I threw up on the way back... shells, how embarrassing. What's with the arm?"

Aurian lifts up her well splinted arm, "Broken...

Kassima winces in automatic sympathy. "Ow," she understates. "When did it happen?"

Aurian glances to Kassima, "Remember the bronco.. apparently all that time when I thought it was sprained and did all that stupid stuff, the binding kept it together so it hurt less, but it didn't stop hurting... so I took it to the healers.."

Kassima clicks her tongue and slowly shakes her head. "I don't envy you explaining that one to T'saren. I'm grateful for the bruised rump, come t'think on it; at least all I have t'do is rig some padding. Any idea of when you'll be back in the air? Mayhaps you should see the Healers too, come t'think on it... they might have something t'be ceasing that itching."

Aurian sighs, "I can't put an analgesic under the splint, and they say that I can't do fall for a week

Kassima eyes Aurian's wrist dubiously. "They expect you t'be able t'heft firestone sacks with that sucker in a sevenday? Though, since L'mis manages, mayhaps they do have a point."

Aurian grins, "They said they knew that they wouldn't get me to stay out of it for two weeks

"T'saren might forgive you, then," Kassima says philosophically, "though I'd still expect a royal verbal flaying. Browns are a wee bit harder t'be juggling than greens."

Aurian nods, "I'm expecting to live through it by the skin of my teeth,"

Kassima grins. "Let's just hope your expectations aren't too high, then!" is her facetious response. "Is that why 'twere looking wherry-smacked? Because of your wrist?"

Aurian throws her hands into the air, "Vahrynna kissed me."

"Vahrynna?" That catches Kassi dumbstruck; her jaw actually hangs open for a moment before she remembers to close it. "Vahrynna? Lord of the Lace? M'lord Innocent? The one who's supposed t'be terrified of you?"

Aurian nods and nods again, "Yes... he kissed me in here!

"Shy, blushing V'hryn kissed you in public." Kassima shakes her head, marvelling, "Will wonders never cease? Mayhaps he's sweet on you, or mayhaps he's just gone mad. What'd he say?"

"Well I was teasing him and then he said maybe I should find out for myself or something like.." Aurian blinks, "And then he kissed me. He didn't blush!"

Kassima just eyes Aurian. Just eyes her, for several moments. "Find out for yourself. Aurian... just *what* were you teasing him about?"

Aurian peers at Kassima, "What I was teasing you about.."

Kassima groans and buries her head in her hands, looking stricken. *She* certainly blushes. "Aurian, you didn't take me *seriously*, did you? Shells! Y'know, on second thought, I could've lived m'whole life without knowing that...."

Aurian can't help herself and smiles impishly, "I was planning on asking him anyways..."

Kassima raises her eyes and gives Aurian a dagger-glare. "You are a *sadistic* wench, aren't you?"

"Its easy to do and the reactions you get are great.." Aurian smiles.

Kassima makes a face at the brownrider, straightening. "Even I never went so far as to inquire as t'people's... never mind," she mutters, still somewhat flushed. "Really!"

Aurian grins, "Jealous?"

Aurian laughs and shakes her head, "I just had to do it because it was you.. and V'hryn.."

Kassima gives Aurian a bewildered look. "That you're that evil? Shells, nay--I don't *want* t'know about such things, thankee!" A horrible thought occurs to her, and she says warily, "Please, please tell me that you haven't been tracking down every malerider whose dragon ever caught Lyss and asking them such questions...."

Aurian laughs hysterically and shakes her head, "nooooooo I'm not that horrible Kassima."

"Oh, good," Kassi sighs, her relief unfeigned. "You can limit yourself t'tormenting Vah on that subject, then, if'n you must torment someone."

Aurian chuckles, "But tormenting you is fun Kassima.."

Kassima points out dryly, "You can find better people t'torment if'n that's your favored subject, Auri. With me, you only get one torment opportunity a Turn. Why nay torment... um... hrm. Maylia, mayhaps?"

Aurian grins, "Maylia's better'n a sister to me.."

"And aren't siblings the best victims?" Kassi insists doggedly.

Aurian waggles a finger at Kassima, "I said better'n a sister.. besides I have my half sisters to torment.

Kassima urges, getting to her feet, "Then torment them about their sex lives, why don't you? Though, I suppose at least I don't really have aught t'hide, so if'n 'twere a good person, I'd accept the torment t'spare a more vulnerable person." Her grin is downright wicked as she notes, "I'm nay a good person. And I'm off t'sleep. Clear skies, Auri."

Kassima walks down the short tunnel and out into the bowl.
