I've been writing since junior high school, when I wrote a play
called "William Shakespeare Baseball," using every really bad
pun I could think of. It seriously stunk up the joint, but I
knew that I was hooked on putting pen to paper. In my ankst-laden
late-teen years, I wrote dark poetry, filled with woe and
ennui, ("...flowers grow and bloom only to die and be buried...").
The works here are just for fun. Writing like this is really
good practice for setting the scene and developing a simple
story-line. Actually, writing ANYTHING is good practice.
I am currently working on a real short story, (it's almost 70
pages long!). My friend, Liz, is proofreading the first two
parts while I work on the third part. As I told Liz recently, it
is almost orgasmic to sit at the keyboard and find that the
words are just flowing through your fingers onto the keyboard
without almost any thought.
Anyway, enjoy!
