Gen13: Bootleg will consist of story arcs by some of the
comic industry's most stellar talents. Each story arc will be
one to three parts and entirely self-contained. The first story
arc showcases the magnificent artwork of Alan Davis and
Mark Farmer, with a story by Farmer and Davis.
Seeking to rescue a scientist's stranded daughter, the
members of Gen13 find themselves separated and lost in
Lindquist's Fault, a portal to many alternate realities, where
their hearts' desires seem to be fulfilled -- only to give way
to their darkest nightmares.
Where but in Lindquist's Fault can Caitlin find a new team
of super-powered youngsters to lead to victory against all
odds? Where else could Roxy find her one true love,
Grunge discover total and permanent bliss, and Bobby and
Sarah become the Adam and Eve of a future tropical
paradise?
Nowhere but in Lindquist's Fault, where everyone's
greatest wishes come true... at least for a while.
The second story arc will be a three issue tale written by
Terry Moore of Strangers in Paradise fame, and penciled
by Tomm Coker (Gen13/Maxx).
Series editor Scott Dunbier said, "Gen13: Bootleg is one of
the coolest projects I've ever worked on. I get to call up
creators whose work I admire and ask them if they want to
get on board a really exciting book for awhile, and since it's
not a long-term thing, pretty much everyone can manage to
fit it into their schedule. It's great to see all these different
interpretations of the characters -- and a testament to the
strength of the characters that they can hold their own."
Gen13: Bootleg is a monthly ongoing series, that debuted in November.
