Few artists in the competetive world of comic book illustration have had the staying power of Jim Lee. On top of the heap since his record-breaking run on the Uncanny X-Men for Marvel, Jim has created a universe of his own characters that have enjoyed phenomenal success.

Born in Seoul, South Korea, in 1964, Lee graduated from Princeton University and decided to try his hand at comic book art. Landing work at Marvel, he illustrated such titles as Alpha Flight and the Punisher: War Journal before starting his tenure on the Uncanny X-Men. His attention to detail and characterization revitalized the X-Men, catapulting that title to record sales and earning him the Comic Buyer's Guide's awards for best artist and best cover artist in 1991.

Jim left Marvel to help start Image Comics with some of his peers in 1992, launching a number of successful titles, such as WILDC.A.T.S, STORMWATCH, and DEATHBLOW. More recent projects have included UNION, BACKLASH, TEAM 7, and GEN13. His characters have achieved recognition outside the comic book arena as well, branching out into trading cards, toy lines, television programs, movie deals and other areas. All the while, Jim has continued to command popular acclaim and the respect of other professionals in the entertainment industry. He lives in La Jolla, CA with his wife Angie and his daughters Tyler and Kelsey, but as the founder of WildStorm Productions, he can usually be found at the drawing table, creating and illustrating new heroes for the next generation of fans.
