Burnout, Fairchild, Freefall, Grunge, and Rainmaker! They were young, hip and carefree teenagers without a care in the world. That was, until the day a secret government agency inducted them all into its Gen13 project!

The young heroes quickly realized that the Keepers at Project Genesis had a sinister agenda for them, so they decided to escape, unaware of the fact that they had already been transformed by the Gen-Active process. The game turned deadly when the youths were labelled fugitives who posed a threat to the national security of the United States.

Their only hope for survival was to work as a team, utilizing their newly found powers to battle their foes, and to learn the secrets of their pasts that linked them to International Operations and the mysterious Team 7.

Gen13 became an instant sensation when it was released in February 1994. After a five-issue miniseries took the comics world by storm, a Gen13 1/2 fromWizard, a #0 issue, and a Gen13 Rave, an ongoing series kicked off in March 1995. The creative team has remained consistent on both series, with Brandon Choi scripting, J. Scott Campbell pencilling, and Alex Garner inking.
