You return to your room, blowing off the candle and watch as the last flicker turn the things in your room to darkness. For a moment you inhale the stillness of the air, sighing a tired sigh of relief at finally being able to spend a good night's sleep in a safe house.Above you,the din goes on,the floorboards of the Tavern continues to rock as they stump their feet and break into a song from time to time. You feel like joining them but you're too tired.Soon enough, their laughters disappear and you grow faint, tossing in your goosedown and letting your whole body sink into the matteress. The smell of wine circled around the room and you begin to wonder wether it had anything to do with pulling you into slumber. But slowly, surely you couldn't resist the lure of rest and sink into a soft state of unconciousness.
The dreams flow in as you close your eyes, strange images appear before you, whispering soft messages. You remember the face of an old man, smiling at you, holding out his hand.
"The treasure is in your hands."he said,"All you need to do is pray."
The rest of the night was spent in weird thoughts, fleeing and escaping the crannies of your mind as soon as your eyelids lift up.The room had no windows, but you could feel the warmth of the rising sun slowly seeping through the stone walls. You had awoken to the call of Dawn.
Time has slipped fast during the night, and in spite of those dreams you feel refreshed, uplifted even. You had the feeling that there was answer to your questions, you just haven't found it yet.
You pack up your things, clean your sword and wash your face. All done, you ascend the steps of the winecellar to receive the morning. The other guests were still asleep and you could hear someone in the far room snoring.Soon you reach the top of the stairs and look back, this cellar looked plain as it is but there was somthing mystical about it,as with other parts of the Inn.There was an evicently distinct feeling of weirdness and warmth, both at the same time.
"Maybe someday I'll end up here again..."you think to yourself.
The Tavern was empty now except for Sarah who was wiping the table tops. She saw you and immediatly broke into a smile.
"Good day,and how was your night?"she asked pleasantly.
"It was good,"you answer,"a lot of dreams though."
"That's somthing we have that other Inns don't."she laughed, but declined to explain further.
She told you to take a seat as she brought out a warm bowl of soup and fresh loaves of bread. You eat up hungrily and put some into your pouch for later.
"Leaving so soon?"Sarah complained,"Tary a few more days until the snow's melted. You'll find it easier to keep on track that way."
"I'll see how far I can go for today, and if the weather blows up again I'll take heed to head back here then."you tell here, assuringly.
"K-Lerb's gone to the forest,he'll be back by nightfall so if you want to wait for him,you might as well put down your belongings and enjoy the day..."
You shake your head, thanking her but refusing the invitation.
Finished with breakfast, you pay Sarah what you owe and walk to the door of the Inn.Somehow one night in here has turned you into a different person, could this be the magick of Throu?
Sadly, you open the door and saw the whiteness of the surroundings, all neatly covered by snow and forming a uniform lanscape. You step out into the cold and the snow wets the soles of your boots, your cloak ripples about in the wind and the sun shines above your head.
"Bye."you wave to her and she waved back.
"Come back soon merry wanderer!"...
This will be a moment to remember, stepping from the warmth of the Gate Keeper's Inn,out into the daylight to seek your future.Knowing that deep within you,the doors of the Inn and K-Lerb's hospitality will always to open to you... ... ... ...
"The treasure is in your hands, all you need to do is look!"
Peace and may the force of One thousand Whirlwinds be with you, always.
