Meet an Aquaintance for a day, have a friend for a life!"
Looking around... ...
It was late into the night, and yet there were many other visitors in the Tavern.Time was obviously not a constraint to these bunch. You turn your head about, taking a glimpse of each guest, they seemed to be having a really swell time and you dare not approach them for fear of becoming a bother. But still the thought of getting to now these strangers remained in your mind.
Sitting alone at the far end of the Tavern was a thin, old man with greying hair and beard. His eyes were directed at a space on the thatched roof.definitely someone who had alot on his mind, the loud chatting by the others didn't stir him.
You ask K-Lerb who that is and he shakes his head sadly,"That is Ruther,an old tailor who lives in the town a day's travel from here.He used to be busy with the scissors, but now he has nought to do as his eyes are beginning to play tricks on him.So he stays around the Inn all day, hoping for a miracle by the powers of Great Throu.
He too has a tragic story to tell,it was said he lost his youth in one
night all of a sudden and no one knows what really happened.
Try asking him one of these nights, but not on this wonderful one my
son."
You run your eyes across Ruther and spot another man, this time the contrast of Ruther,in fact,a perfect opposite. He was a great big burly man, with no beard and in his prime of youth. You could see his muscles scrunch up as he held up his tankard. There was even a huge battle axe beside his chair that seemed incredibly heavy. His laugh was full and deep, right from the heart. He did not seem like the type to beat around the bush.
"Who is that?"you ask.
"That's Tireless. Why haven't you heard of him? He's the strongest man in whole of Zan-Kel.No one can win a fight against him,and for that matter he doesn't have to raise his fists a lot.We like him because he keeps the country free from those despicable villains like the Centaurs that live up north. He told was from a place called Greece? And that his father was the King of Gods over there,he decided to travel the world while his twin brother er....He...Hercules stayed. We're glad to be on his side that's for sure. Its a good thing he has a righteous heart and a sturdy temper. He hardly gets angry at all!"K-Lerb waved to Tireless and he waved back, throwing a gold coin to K-Lerb for another round of Ale.The impact of the coin in K-Lerb's palm made him take a few steps back."Like I siad,"K-Lerb laughed,"Strong as ten bulls made into one!"
There was a loud clash of tankards from the other end of the room.It was from a table of strange men that had a single horn on their heads. There were seven of them, all noisily gulping down their Ale.
"They're Uninauts. They rule the Unicorns all around Zan-Kel.Morzella tells me they have great powers and terrible tempers to go with it.They hardly associate with mere mortals except me of course, for I serve them nightly. But if and once you know them well enough, they can help you with anything.Their friendship is loyal provided your's is too."
To your surprise there were other strange creatures in the Tavern. You hadn't noticed them when you came in just now, probably because they were all smaller than the average normal mortals and tended to congregate with their own kind instead of splitting up.There was InFra the Minotaur,Jokee the Elf Jester of Tan-Riel castle,Pheeleep the Maple Tree Fairy maiden and many others. It would take more than one night to know them all.
