The MacGregor Family Matteniah O Carrol was born in 1899 in Ireland. She married John MacGregor, a Scotsman, when she was just barely sixteen and they moved to America where she bore her first child that same year, Michael. Abigail Martin, also of Irish descent, and the child of immigrant friends of John and Matteniah, was born in 1917, and she grew up to marry Michael. Her first child was Peter MacGregor, born in 1935. Michael and Abigail had five other children in all. Carol was born in 1937, Joseph in 1940, Mary in 1942, Elizabeth in 1945, and Andrew, the baby, in 1950. Also in 1950, John MacGregor and Michael MacGregor died, leaving Matteniah and Abigail, who had always been close to each other to begin with, widows. The two women grew closer and together raised the children. In 1955, Peter MacGregor s wife produced a daughter, Wendy Amelia MacGregor. In 1962 Wendy was given a cousin, Douglas, the son of Joseph MacGregor. There were other cousins, all younger than Wendy, as well. Wendy became the undisputed leader of the cousins, the general to their summertime armies, and she gloried in her role long after others might have abandoned the young ones in favor of more adult roles. Everyone adored her, and she refused to be spoiled by it. Also during the summertime, all the cousins would gather at the grandmothers home, a large house with fields in New York State, where they could run and play and be children. In the evenings the grandmothers would tell the children tales of Ireland and Scotland, of the Faerie Folk, and of the heroes of legend and tales. Wendy in particular enjoyed these evenings. In 1969 Wendy was stolen by the Faerie folk and one of their own, a Sidhe princess named Wenhaver of House Fiona, was put in her place. Wenhaver didn't tell any of her family that she was Fae, but the grandmothers quickly noticed that something was different with her, and figured out for themselves what was wrong. They chose not to tell the rest of the family, and gave Wenhaver, as Wendy MacGregor, what help they could. Wenhaver ruled Westhaven, her Freehold, with a just hand, and eventually fell in love with Colin Oakesarme, and planned to marry him on Beltane, 1972. She was murdered the day before the wedding, and no one in the family ever discovered who the killer was. Douglas, who was only ten years old at the time, was heart-broken. Wendy was his hero. When he was fifteen, he Awakened as a Mage, and followed the Celestial Chorus tradition. He eventually became a friend and companion of Betsey Stokes, who chose for herself to study *all* the Traditions. In 1981, Andrew and his wife, Lacy Arrons, had a daughter of their own and named her Wendy Matteniah MacGregor. Wendy was not quite sixteen when she underwent a First Change as Garou, of the Fianna tribe. Her mother is known to be Kinfolk, but no one knows if there is Garou blood on her father's side, which is entirely likely. At last word, Wendy Matteniah, who was calling herself Wenhaver Rose-in-Moonlight, was in the Dallas area of Texas, and was even a temporary member of Torn Asunder, the pack that Elisabeth Crane-Brooks ran with when the Garou wished to found a Fianna Caern above the Underhill Freehold. Elisabeth Crane-Brooks has yet to come into contact with any of Wenhaver of Westhaven's mundane family, but such a meeting seems to be inevitable, since Elisabeth wishes to discover all she can about the Faerie woman she once was.
