Tom P. '98

The Most Elusive Doom Patrol Member

Originally known as "Tom P. '79", Tom has been a Doom Patrol member since it's official conception as an organization way back in 1988. Having been friends with, and later working with, co-founder Jeff the Joker since December of 1973 Tom, due to prior commitments such as girlfriends has not always attended all of our gatherings, yet has nevertheless served in a more than full capacity within the group.

Originally forming half of the In Search of... team, he and Jeff made audio recordings of the now historic 16 episodes of "In Search of...Denise and Lorraine Olmo" (two sisters that he and Jeff were infatuated with for years, who had moved) from December 16, 1978 to June of 1979. They finally "found" Denise and Lorraine during episode #8, but continued their trek for the remaining eight episodes. Later they branched out to include "In Search of...Irish Dogs" and "In Search of...The Supernatural."

Tom went on to co-form the band Abdulla and the Gang with Jeff and Joey Tribuzio in the winter of 1979-80. Playing numerous talent shows, and concerts to both popular, and critical, acclaim Tom led the band until it's breakup in 1986.

In 1987 he formed Acid Rain and toured with them until mid 1992. Leaving the band to concentrate on school Tom graduated in June of 1996 with a BA in psychology. Tom now serves as resident psychoanalyst of the group, and often offers his Jungian/Freudian analysis of any situation that occurs within the organization, whether it is wanted or not. (Here he is seen helping Jimmy discover the true nature of his Electra complexes.) Tom vows to tackle the rest of the group as this century progresses.
